Position Summary

This is a prominent role inside a highly dynamic and evolving media and creative hybrid team. You will be the key regional client lead for an established content and entertainment platform brand. As part of our core client team, you will be a leader and agenda setter in pushing UM Studios capabilities and growing our remit on the client. This role is primarily focussed on building data and technology solutions and strategies for activation which connect across all touch points from impact digital video through to digital and Influencer activation ideas. You will work with our creative and media team to drive big ideas, lead the agenda with our client, and execute campaigns to the highest quality standards.

As Digital Content Strategy Director across one of our key clients you will take over full operation oversight for the team both in Singapore and in our production hub in KL. You will ensure all commitments we make to the client are clearly articulated and reflective of ambitious but achievable targets, and that we always deliver on these commitments.

To be successful in the role, you will need to be able to identify potential issues before they arise, be a step ahead of our clients and solve problems with creative thinking and maintaining a positive, solution focussed, outlook on our work and clients. You will be responsible for building and presenting recommendations that leverage creative, content and digital platform solutions to solve business challenges. You will collaborate with regional and local teams in developing creative solutions that make our clients famous.

Outside of direct client work, you will be one of the most senior team members in UM Studios and will play a key role in developing new working models, expanding capabilities and defining how we will grow our capabilities to build sustainable success and growth for our agency.

The Digital Content Strategy Director advises clients, agencies and internal stakeholders on best practice Dynamic content and Influencer/KOL planning and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

PLANNING:

  • Lead Addressable and other content strategy projects end to end, focussing on bringing together work across media planning, creative, tech and client, into a comprehensive approach to comms
  • Become a true client partner and understand their business intrinsically
  • Control overall content budget for your key clients across multiple channels
  • Design best in class creative campaigns that deliver results
  • Taking global strategy into localized communications planning recommendations or working with regional team to develop strategy directly
  • Translate highly sophisticated product offerings with detailed scientific background and strong comms regulation into campaigns which resonate with our audience
  • Build project timelines and clearly articulated workflow across various specialists within the team
  • Surfacing cultural trends and events that can be leveraged for activation
  • Creating innovative activation ideas that bring the campaign to life in interesting ways
  • Develop measurement frameworks that are in line with client business success
  • Regularly building presentations and merchandising these to clients both response to brief and thought leadership pieces that demonstrate shifts in landscape.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
PARTNERSHIPS:
  • Ability to surface new partners across the region (and in local markets) establishing test and learn frameworks and adoption pipeline for successful tests
  • Fosters a seamless working relationship with UM Studios creative teams in the local markets and KL Production Hub
  • Able to identify projects / briefs which present revenue or new business opportunities for the wider MB business and suggest commercial approach accordingly
LEADERSHIP:
  • Support in training regional and local market account teams, nurturing and growing the existing accounts talent and championing best in class client management
  • Position yourself in the Singapore office (and with clients) as a thought leader in the area of addressable strategy and content
  • Become a key support for local markets allowing them to tap into your skill set to help in understanding best practise planning & execution
  • Manage internal stakeholders to deliver business outcomes
  • Drive innovation and deliver creative campaigns that win awards
  • With your team, deliver flawless campaign management, reporting optimisation and measurement
  • Deliver advanced insight that is proactive and effective
COMMERCIAL:
  • Identify opportunities for new and existing products and initiatives across client portfolio's, campaign approaches and local market skill sets continually looking to integrate new ways of thinking and develop out of scope opportunities
  • Find solutions that help our clients better navigate their various regional partners and centralizes more work and revenue in the regional hub
  • Support local markets in providing guidance around specialist areas that could lead to stronger revenue opportunities
KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING:
  • Proven track record on driving high quality creative work on complex clients at the highest level
  • Analytical ability to understand the impact of research and measurement and how to use this to inform planning
  • Has an excellent ability to interpret data from multiple sources (e.g. across markets) to inform comms planning
  • Have a high level working knowledge of different project management philosophies and tools, and be confident in recommending and implementing new systems and ways of working
  • Passionate about all forms of communications
  • Digitally infused and savvy about cutting edge communication solutions
