As part of our global team, youll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented and dedicated colleagues while developing and expanding your career.We are seeking an energetic, collaborative and self-driven professional to join the Digital Supply Chain value team to play an active role in transformation journey to become the leading digital supply chain organization that leverages data, technology and processes to deliver end to end solutions enabling enterprise-wide collaboration, customer satisfaction, and seamless orchestration.WHAT YOU WILL DOThe Value Team Architect works closely with Product Line Leads, Product Managers and all squad members to create a modular, scalable solution that addresses/incorporates future architectural changes and designs.ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the Value Team Lead, Product Line Leads, Product Managers and Lead Engineers you will work on the following:Understandsupply chain domain business use cases, opportunities and challengescurrent industry technology trends and introduce best practices to Value TeamCreatearchitecture deliverables and artifacts relevant for accountable architecture domain(s)Drivethe technology strategy for the Value Team that aligns with the business needs and enterprise architecture strategythe notion of reusable architecture assets & standards such as current-state business/technology capability maps as well as future state planning roadmaps for the Value Team.Tech Center strategy for Digital Supply Chain organization by boosting collaboration within Singapore and across all locations in Technology Center networkOur workforce pipeline in Value Team by leveraging company programs to onboard, mentor and upskill the leaders of the future in Technology CentersPartner withproduct teams to use agile, value-centric, business outcomes-oriented, and total cost of ownership-based principles to guide decision makingproduct line solution architects to develop a documented business, solution, information, and data architecture for supply chainarchitecture community and leaders across the Value and Enabling Teams in the division focusing on data and analytics, manufacturing and quality systemsEnterprise Architecture team to drive the adoption of company architecture standards and blueprintsManageArchitecture Governance within the Value TeamTrain and mentortechnical delivery teams to understand, embrace, and successfully implement solutions following the architecture strategyWHAT YOU MUST HAVEEducationB.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S. in a scientific or technical discipline (such as computer science, engineering, biology, chemistry, etc.)Required Experience and Skills10+ years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical/life sciences or similar industry, with demonstrated hands-on experience in solution architecture and information system designs10+ years of experience in leading development squads/ teams in global environmentStrong understanding of enterprise, solution and information architecture principlesDomain knowledge of technology for supply chain management including data and analytics platforms, ERP solutions, supply chain planning, warehousing, distribution and logisticsExperience in working closely with a range of business lines to identify business needs and opportunitiesExperience with Agile ways of working, leading or working as part of scrum teamsExperience as a change agent of transformation to product model organization/ operating modelExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholdersAbility to perform under broad direction taking initiative and full responsibility for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectivesPreferred Experience and SkillsDemonstrated ability to solve problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm and innovationKnowledge of current cloud trends and offerings, and extensive hands-on experience and strong expertise in cloud engineeringCertifications in AWS and/or modern data technologiesWho we areWe are known as Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, New Jersey, USA in the United States and Canada and MSD everywhere else.
