Are you still wandering what is Direct care? - Direct care in this context refers to patient's journey from awareness to successful management of their disease for a chronic medical condition. It is true that many patients for a disease like obesity do not know that it is a disease and not a choice and they could get help. Even if the patients want to seek help, they may not be able to find where to go for help. If the patient finds out where to go for help it may not be comfortable or fears for being judged! Hopefully by now you get the picture. There are various gaps until the patient finds a sustainable solution for their chronic disease management and then will also need help to stay with the disease management to ensure long term better health outcomes! Identifying the various hurdles in this patient journey and working with various partners/ service providers to ensure patients get good care for their chronic conditions is Direct Care! It is going to be a very interesting journey and great learning experience!

As a Direct Care Manager, you will be part of an energetic and goal-driven team based in Novo Nordisk Singapore, and you will be reporting directly to the Country Manager (CM) Singapore and Brunei.

The Position

You may not have heard such a job role in pharmaceutical sector before! In this role, the successful candidate will anchor Direct Care operations in the business development and/or channel marketing function, follow-up on the marketing programmes with internal stakeholders, working in order to achieve short and long term business objectives, and essentially, drive growth in Obesity market with focus on Direct Care and expansion of prescriber base by exploring additional specialities (breadth) and driving depth in current users and earliest launch of our new product.

Other role accountabilities are as follows but not limited to:

  • Conduct effective market research to identify trends and assess the product's competitive position, work with the CM and PM (Product Manager) to align product strategy and anchor the direct care model in business, liaise with Novo Nordisk's Digital Innovation Hubs in Singapore (and APAC) to study D2C (Direct-to-consumer) trends and work with PMs to implement respective digital channels to reach HCPs (Healthcare Professional) and execute patient activation initiatives, and support Digital Innovation Hubs to launch direct care pilots for the affiliate by working closely with product and marketing teams of the scouted startups.
  • Establish a lean way to kick off direct care pilots in the affiliate and draw an operational plan to scale from those pilots, identify opportunities to implement direct care model across other therapeutic areas and how does it impact the top-line growth for the company, and digital content creation & alignment with marketing strategies
  • Daily communication with TPA (Third Party Administrator), business partner, maintain and develop relationships with target customers and external stakeholders, and propose the initiative budget and manage it efficiently, ensuring effective spending investment to maximise return on investment.
  • Effective communication with internal stakeholders with regards to learnings, challenges and opportunities in direct care spectrum in Singapore and how those learnings could be adapted by other affiliates in the region
  • Identify and develop contact with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), maintain and execute a regular visit plan with target customers in coordination with the Salesforce, and coordinate with PM and creative and event agencies to ensure success of promotional campaigns.
Qualifications
  • The successful candidate must have a relevant academic degree within business or computer science or technology. MBA is a plus.
  • 3-5 years plus experience in launching or managing direct-to-consumer (D2C) technology platforms in any industry!
  • Experience in Early / growth stage digital health start-up experience is a plus.
  • Experience in identifying digital partnerships / collaborations or launch of joint ventures in emerging markets and understanding of business models e.g; B2C, B2B, B2B2C
  • English proficiency, in both written and verbal.
