Role Responsibilities
  • The role is a part of the Group Collections Product team. The role has a global remit with responsibility to drive and execute on the Product Agenda including delivering and commercializing product solutions covering domestic and cross border Collections of Standard Chartered\xe2\x80\x99 s Transaction Banking business. This involves:
  • Driving the domestic and cross border collections agenda that will enhance the underlying Product Fee, float and attract liability balances.
  • Providing inputs on the development of the larger Cash agenda and develop and drive initiatives under those.
  • Lead specific initiatives to gain broader market share, mind share and support key client solutions and implementations from product management standpoint.
  • Undertake product risk management, demonstrate subject matter expertise to support functional stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 teams sales teams during client pitch and RFP processes.
  • Responsible to deliver digital collections experiences to our client base requires the understanding of client requirements and internal offering and processes for receivables management, reconciliation, reporting and cash applications. In addition, the role needs a keen and clear eye for the future.
Strategy
  • Develop and execute the strategy and priorities for collections.
  • Engage relevant stakeholders (internal and external-where required) to align and execute seamlessly.
  • Ensure active engagement of business and functional stakeholders to foster motivation and support for the delivery of Collections strategy.
  • Engage frontline and clients where required to commercialise the products.
  • Jointly own P&L responsibility for Collection\xe2\x80\x99s product.
Business
  • Hands on execution on the key product initiatives and enhancement of Collections capabilities and value with regards to new trends around treasury and cash management propositions locally and cross border.
  • Develop and implement cross border remittances solution along with related FX (TBFX) proposition.
  • Redefine and implement Wallet\xe2\x80\x99s strategy.
  • Execute on the innovation strategy for Collection\xe2\x80\x99s infrastructure including identifying market partnerships to deliver those CVPs as and when necessary.
  • Contribute to thought leadership for the business (along with stakeholders in TB, CCIB, FCC, Legal, Risk and ITO), ensuring an evolution towards the business models of the future.
  • Set plans to drive commercialisation of Collections client value propositions (CVP) in line with broader Cash business strategy.
  • Combine best-practice, market leader thinking, execute and work with RM and Sales teams to commercialize propositions across the client.
  • Develop marketing tools and product collateral for internal and external distribution.
  • Help Drive the fee budget for underlying Product P&L. Standard Pricing and fee reviews and opportunities. Define meaningful future revenue streams in line with strategy.
  • Be the SPOC for Collections MI.
  • Work with channel, regional and country product to drive the success of branch cost reduction initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support, awareness and training for stakeholders including LPMs, RMs Sales, Risk Functions, 2LOD to build product knowledge and alignment for effective product delivery and commercialisation.
  • To constantly monitor the business environment as well as analyse competitor\xe2\x80\x99s offerings in the market and recommend appropriate proactive strategy to respond to market opportunities and/or threats ahead of the competition.
Processes
  • Ensure strict governance in the delivery of Receivables products, engage with key stakeholders to continuously enhance our product proposition, e.g. CFCC, Legal, Risk, ITO, CCIB, BB etc.
  • Interact with functional and cross functional partners across Sales, Product Development, Operations, Technology, Client Services, etc. on global, regional and country basis to ensure product agendas are prioritized and activities are aligned and delivered in line with Group Strategy.
  • Process design work with Operations, Technology and other function partners with the aim of translating process optimization to bottom line cost control with a high degree of reliability.
  • Monitor and track the business performance by working closely with other departments such as Finance, PMO and Cash Operations.
  • Must have awareness and understanding of the Operational Risk Framework for Transaction Banking.
  • Work with Legal, risk and compliance on improving the existing framework to facilitate business growth.
  • Providing clear business case for justification and investment.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Maintain / update governance framework working with various stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely renewal of PPG, related country addendums (CAs) and conduct Post Implementation reviews and shelf life and other applicable reviews as required in partnership with functional stakeholders.
  • Review periodically Product documentation with Legal and Compliance to ensure completeness and reflection of current operating environment.
  • Proactively work with stakeholders to identify, quantify, manage and mitigate new and existing risks.
  • Ensure reporting of identified risks to the relevant risk and governance committees and guiding local teams on remediation in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to standard pricing guidelines and processes for the product.
  • Willingness to \xe2\x80\x98speak up\xe2\x80\x99 in the event of any realized or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10+ years working experience in banking.
  • Experience in Corporate and Commercial Banking or transaction banking experience preferred.
  • Degree holder- preferably in Economics, Finance or Business.
  • Advanced knowledge of cash management products especially receivables management and payments.
  • Good understanding of Clients digital collections needs especially Global Corporates(multinationals), large and local corporates.
  • Connected to Payments industry and good understanding of client Treasury and cash management models and structures. Able to quickly understand client account structures, receivables, reconciliation, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience with owning the entire product lifecycle, from inception to launch and ongoing product management/enhancement and commercialization.
  • Mature and driven with an enthusiastic \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude.
  • Experienced and Effective in Stakeholder engagements. Team player.
  • Think \xe2\x80\x9cout of the box\xe2\x80\x9d. Creative and open to feedback and alternative perspectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
