Job Description


Job Purpose:

Executive responsible for identification, development, implementation, auditing, compliance, training, and management of APJ security, health, safety, environmental (HSE), facilities, and business continuity strategies and programs to ensure operational effectiveness and protection of people and assets and to support the various operations through internal and external customer-oriented security, HSE, facilities, and business continuity programs throughout APJ. Serves as backup to the Snr Director Corporate Security Europe and APJ in his absence.

TD SYNNEX \xe2\x80\x93 APJ has 35 locations in 9 countries totaling 60,000 m\xc2\xb2 approx.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for Global Security, HSE, Facilities, and BC Programs in the APJ Region for TD SYNNEX people and assets. Leads a team of 3 Regional Corporate Safety & Security (Assistant) Managers and coordinates and implements site security and safety operations and activities to ensure protection of executives, managers, co-workers, customers, stakeholders, visitors, and on-site contractors and protect physical and information assets while ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment.
  • Leads the facility management function in APJ locations through location Facilities Teams responsible for all building and facilities related services such as, space management, vendor management, office admin and logistics centers and warehouse maintenance, budgeting and budget tracking, shipping, and receiving functions.
  • Provides security expertise and oversight and builds strong internal customer relationships through engagements with APJ\xe2\x80\x99s Regional President, ALT, Regional Management, Group and Country Managers.
  • In cooperation with the APJ Leadership Team directs the design, development, and implementation of an effective and compliant strategy to mitigate risk, maintain continuity of operations and safeguard the organization.
  • Leads on coordination and liaison with the WW Business Continuity Management Team supporting roles and regional and country leadership and maintains the regional BC and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Directs and trains the domestic and international staff in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes, practices, and policies throughout the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in all areas of information, financial, physical, personal, and reputational risk.
  • Ensures country compliance to international standards such as ISO, C-TPAT, TAPA, etc. Conducts annual and quarterly security audits of the various warehouses, offices and 3PL locations.
  • Researches and deploys state of the art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard the organization\xe2\x80\x99s assets including intellectual property. Establishes Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) standards, concepts, and associated risk controls.
  • Manages third party security and safety vendors, establishes and nurtures relations with business partners to leverage knowledge and experience in a strategic manner. Develops and fosters external relationships with international security, safety, environmental and emergency response organizations, and domestic and foreign law enforcement supporting TD SYNNEX\xe2\x80\x99s APJ markets.
  • Takes accountability and manages projects related to global security and safety policies, procedures, and incident investigations (i.e., establishing new offices, warehouses, data centers, acquisitions, etc., with relationship management responsibilities).
  • Responds, manages, and investigates security incidents impacting TD SYNNEX co-workers, assets, operations, or brand; partners closely with internal stakeholders in HR and Legal; tracks incidents and makes sure that they are reported in TD SYNNEX\xe2\x80\x99s global security incident report tool (D3).
  • Investigates current and upcoming fraud cases by using forensic tools in close cooperation with the global fraud team. Assesses crime and security risks and threats in all countries of responsibility and takes appropriate action to mitigate those.
  • Develops and executes life safety and security emergency plans relevant to the region\xe2\x80\x99s scope, performs incident response management during crisis level events, and partners with regional and local crisis management teams.
  • Manages security and facilities CAPEX and OPEX budgets and acts as facilitator with Finance business partners to accurately forecast, advocate, and manage budget activities.
  • Manages TD SYNNEX\xe2\x80\x99s high-risk travel safety program for staff and executives located in or traveling within the APJ geography.
  • Supports the VP WW Risk Management & Insurance to assure and drive the required ERM and insurance programs including, insurance coverage to new distribution agreements and contracts are in place and adhered to.
  • Works closely together with Logistics Leadership to create and implement assets protection concepts to prevent losses in transit (LITs) and reduce internal and external losses and damages. Performs other duties as assigned by the Snr Director Corporate Security Europe and APJ and VP WW Real Estate & Corporate Services.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

10 to 15 Years of relevant work experience is required.
