The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Help the Group meet its commitment of being \xe2\x80\x9cHere for Good\xe2\x80\x9d by building a sustainable compliance framework that places regulatory and compliance best practice standards in the aspect of data quality management and project management, and a culture of appropriate conduct at the forefront of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s agenda
  • Maintain constructive and effective relationships with Technology Heads of Compliance and Business.
  • Maintain independence, deliver timely responses, and timely escalation of risks and issues in data quality and projects where they feel risk management tolerance of the firm are exceeded
  • Collaborate with ITO to deliver the Trade Surveillance priorities
Business
  • Awareness and understanding of various market abuse regulations globally in which the Group operates. Understanding the Group\xe2\x80\x99s business strategy as well as Compliance mandate in supporting the business.
  • Build and maintain an effective and constructive relationship with all key business and functional stakeholders to enable the business and functions to meet/ achieve their strategic tactical objectives.
Processes
  • Support in the development of newer analytics methods to enhance scenario alerts generation, improve data quality and facilitate better data mapping through feedback and collaboration with the onshore team. Provide leadership and direction to the team members for activities including requirements specifications, prioritization, UAT, regression testing, etc. Timely mitigation and resolution of risks and issues, establishments of effective controls, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders for the local team. Apply analytics to better enhance scenario alerts generation through feedback and collaboration with the various teams, including but not limited to quantitative methods such as statistical, numerical analysis of data, or computational techniques. Participate in the scenario logic reviews, enhancements and lead the engagements with stakeholders for implementation. Also includes authoring and reviewing specification documents relating to scenarios
People & Talent
  • Develop and manage talent in data and analytics for compliance surveillance function. Help in supporting recruitment of talent for data and analytics function. Responsible for managing team deliverables and quality of the work.
Risk Management
  • Identify key issues of the workstreams assigned and work towards resolving, if not escalating where required. Collaborate with other teams to ensure risks are comprehensively identified, assessed, and managed. Support all control checks approved by Operational Risk Framework (ORF) & be accountable for identification and escalation of potential risks and issues to senior management through appropriate governance channels and the Quality Assurance framework. Comply with and adhere to relevant risk management policies
Governance
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. Provide robust challenge to senior management and all relevant business stakeholders where activities are outside risk tolerance/ appetite, escalating as necessary, until appropriate oversight and ownership is achieved including actions and plans to address any remedial action needed to come back within risk tolerance/ appetite
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in Engineering, Management, Finance, Information technology, or similar quantitative field.
  • Experience of 10+ years in Data and Analytical skills.
  • Project management experience and experience in working with multi geography teams.
