Position Summary:
We are looking for a strong sales leader that has the skills, intellect, professional experience, and drive to lead our newly acquired Volterra business. This role is focused on incubating the Distributed Cloud technology, ensuring widespread enablement across our sales organization and initiating the technical and commercial executive discussions that lead to strategic partnerships within our Enterprise and Service Provider customers and partner community.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Define the Distributed Cloud GTM strategy for APCJ with input from a cross-functional team, both in the field as well as at world-wide. This strategy must align with the world-wide direction and be in tune with the field realities of APCJ countries, and define goals by region and key gaps that need to get closed in FY21 and beyond.
  • Introduce new products as they are developed and manage the transition from the core business without disrupting sales momentum
  • Strong collaboration with Product Marketing to ensure clear product positioning and value proposition for Distributed Cloud offering.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with key strategic customers, channel partners and other industry leaders, monitoring all metrics and assuring the team meets both sales and strategic goals
  • Implement standard account/territory planning programs to make our sales strategy real for reps in the field
  • Establish roles and partnerships between sales team to create collaboration and seamless F5 brand and identify with customers
  • As part of a management matrix with the regional RVPS’s strategically recruit, retain and develop a world class team
  • Engage in key customer and channel opportunities and assist with the sales cycle in support of the company’s sales strategy
  • Develop sales strategies and forecasts sales volumes for each theatre
  • Responsible for assisting in setting and attaining an annual revenue target
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • An impressive record of achievement as a sales executive gained in Enterprise and Service Provider and strategic sales (Security, Cloud and ELA Deals) environment. This should include experience selling to multiple market channels.
  • A proven background in a sales management role with respected company
  • Proven success in working in a very fast-paced and pressure filled environment
  • Ability to successfully work with internationally diverse teams
  • History of repeatedly achieving and exceeding quotas
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Reputation for integrity, honesty, candor, fairness and discretion
  • A history of providing the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior towards customers and employees
  • Experience successfully navigating and positioning a new product in multiple markets


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strategic sales (Security, Cloud and Large & Complex Deals) industry expert
  • 10+ years of experience selling complex strategic sales (Security, Cloud and Large Deals) in APCJ
  • 8+ years sales experience managing a remote filed direct/channel global sales organization
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent communications skills including an ability to listen to needs of customers, comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings and recommendations in both oral and written presentations to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically and execute on those goals
  • Ability to lead in a constantly evolving environment, manage multiple priorities and ambiguity
  • Ability to converse with technical and business personnel fluently
  • Experience developing relationships with supplies and co-marketing partners highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently
  • Track record of success managing sales, partner or channel teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of internet working infrastructure and technologies, e.g. routers, switches, TCP/IP, IP applications, Firewalls


Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 60% of the time spent traveling.
