Visa Innovation is a global team that drives Visa\xe2\x80\x99s innovation agenda and support Visa\xe2\x80\x99s clients and partners in designing and accelerating new digital solutions that advance the future of commerce. Visa runs innovation centers in various regional headquarters, and this position is for Visa Innovation Center in Singapore which covers all major markets in Asia Pacific including Australia, Singapore, Japan, China, India, Indonesia, and Thailand amongst others. About the Position
We are looking for a Director of Innovation Engagement, with the goal of driving net new growth for Visa and partners by jointly designing new solutions that leverage Visa\xe2\x80\x99s network of capabilities. The Director \xe2\x80\x93 Innovation Engagement will be responsible for leading all types of client engagements \xe2\x80\x93 discoveries, co-creations, new product development as well as to develop thought leadership narratives which will drive our Innovation agenda. This role would ideally suit someone who enjoys working in a small team of humble and talented people, solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
This role will report to the Senior Director, Product Innovation. The role holder will be part of a high performing team that brings a structured solutioning approach, storytelling abilities, agile and digital first mindset to clients, partners and the Visa organization.
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead client engagements (discovery and co-creations) by defining and validating market opportunities and fleshing out potential solutions with inputs from internal SMEs, clients and partners. The responsibilities will include
Defining project scope and approach, ensuring alignment with client and Visa objectives
Designing and delivering qualitative (e.g. ethnographic study) and quantitative research to understand user needs and market landscape
Structuring large and diverse client workshops to design a holistic solution with a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, solution architects and marketers
Ensuring top-quality client deliverables which include the value proposition, UI/UX, product roadmap, product prototype, go-to-market strategy, commercials and solution architecture
Mentoring and training up junior engagement team members
Lead co-creations with the goal of building new Visa capabilities, by defining and validating market opportunities and fleshing out potential solutions with inputs from internal SMEs, clients and partners
Work closely with Visa Product Design & Architecture function and AP Product vertical leads to source and prioritise new product development initiatives engagements
Lead a cross-functional team of SMEs from Visa and client or partner to design a holistic solution and define new enabling capabilities to be built by Visa vs partners
Develop a compelling business case and development roadmap to get senior stakeholders buy-in and ensure successful hand-off to other Visa teams for the next phase of testing and development
Build thought-leadership narratives to continuously drive the Visa\xe2\x80\x99s Innovation agenda \xe2\x80\x93 internally and externally

What you will need:
Strong understanding of trends and themes in payments and commerce. Futurist outlook and passion for product innovation. Understanding of Visa business and organization strongly preferred
12+ years of work experience with at least 8 years of experience in innovation consulting or digital product development
Experience in translating ambiguous client requirements into meaningful project scope and structuring the right project approach to get to the desired outputs
Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects, with the agility and influential skills to work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders across markets and functions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum of Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree - MBA or Master Degree highly desirable
Comfortable interacting, interviewing and iterating with people through exploration of new concept, prototyping (low and high) and testing
Demonstrated capabilities in client engagement at C-level \xe2\x80\x93 communication, presence, and thought leadership, with strong experience in designing and facilitating workshops based on human-centered design principles
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
