The Role

To provide OD leadership for a large healthcare institution responsible for a staff strength of more than 10,000 and a resident hinterland of 1.4 million.

This organisation believes that organisation health is vital for organization excellence. Efforts are focused on building Better People for Better Care, Better Communities, Better Health and Better Value. Anticipating and leading change of the healthcare landscape for tomorrow, this person will lead the OD team to work closely with strategic partners in healthcare transformation efforts, to ensure sustained performance, resilience and vitality of its workforce.

You will lead efforts in the following areas:

  • Lead the development of collective leadership founded on meaningful relationships and leadership skills, where everyone assumes collective responsibility for the success of the organisation and its hinterland.
  • Lead the OD plan to support the organisation's 10-year strategy map.
  • Provide change leadership as the organisation continuously upgrade its capability and capacity to learn, adapt and renew, in the face of new challenges and opportunities.
  • Be part of the leadership team to steer the organisation's vision as a leader in improvement and innovation, towards a future-ready workforce and adaptive health system.
  • Provide social change leadership for the organisation to effect large-scale health-social change programme.
Requirements
  • Skilful in engagement across all levels of the system; bridging leadership with the ground in the design and execution of OD interventions to activate the organisation's 10-year strategic plan.
  • Models OD values, passionate about OD practice, champions an OD hinterland.
  • Models trustworthiness and are competent, reliable, sincere and cares for people.
  • Models strong collective efficacy, confident in leading teams.
  • 15-20 years of relevant experience in the areas of leadership and organisation development, change management, employee engagement, culture building, strategy alignment, group/team development, organisational learning.
  • Skilful at facilitating senior leadership conversations, small-group conversations and coaching conversations.
  • Skilful in planning and leading social-health change.
  • Excellent communication skills
