The CompanyOur client is a market leader within the utilities and energy sector and they are seeking a Director for their Project Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee end-to-end project financing deals, contribute to the growth of the company\'s portfolio, and work with a diverse range of stakeholders.

The RoleReporting to the Head of Project Finance and Business Development, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of all project financing deals, from design and negotiation to the arrangement of documents, modelling, hedging, and portfolio development. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

  • Gain exposure to both mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for greenfield and brownfield energy/renewable energy projects, contributing to the expansion and diversification of our project portfolio.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external parties, including legal teams, financing experts, market advisors, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, as well as relevant government officials.
  • Support the HOD closely in prioritizing and maximizing value creation by evaluating potential investments, assessing associated risks and opportunities through financial modeling and analysis.
  • Develop and implement project financing and deal structuring strategies that align with our business objectives, ensuring optimal outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Manage counterparty and financing relationships, building and nurturing strong partnerships to facilitate successful project financing outcomes.
  • Work closely with our business development teams to identify and develop new opportunities in the market, leveraging your expertise in project financing to drive growth and expansion.
Your ProfileAs the successful candidate, you will possess a degree with the following relevant experience:
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in project financing, structuring and origination within the utilities / energy / renewable energy sector
  • Thorough understanding of the energy markets and proven success with structured project finance transactions in Asia
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities and associated risks.
