Job Description


Microsoft\xe2\x80\x99s Commercial Solution Area sets the sales strategy, leads technical sales, and operations as a hub for the Commerical Solution Areas and Support Services that power the Microsoft Cloud. We work closely with other Microsoft teams and partners, especially Customer Success, Marketing, and the STU, to ensure those solutions meet our customers\' needs.

As an Azure Specialist Manager, you will be a senior solution leader within our enterprise sales organization working with our most important customers. You will lead a team of sales specialists, working on the most complex migration deals across Asia/APJ, while also supporting Linux, Networking and Azure Security solution areas.
Generally, you will be an Azure and Datacenter Infrastructure subject matter expert and will help coach your and wider STU organization on how to approach migration projects to Azure for Microsoft customers. You will build and maintain relationships with customers, influence long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor driving engagement at the CXO level with technology decision makers. You will help customers evaluate their cloud strategy, determine approaches to application and data migration and modernization, and recommend solutions that meet their requirements. You will remove roadblocks to deployment and drive customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Managers deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.
  • Leads their teams to identify and win new Azure Infrastructure projects through strong technical sales motions. Leverages stakeholders (e.g., Customer Success team unit, account-aligned team unit, Specialist Team Unit, One Commercial Partner organization) to build pipeline within the territory. Coaches team members on interfacing with prospective customers to build network.
  • Brings impactful industry insights into customer engagements and helps close deals with customers. Acts as a thought leader in digital transformation across solution areas to advise customers.
  • Guides their team to build a network of partners to cross-sell and up-sell. Helps the team identify new partners and evaluate partner capabilities. Communicates partner strategies to the team and ensures execution.
  • Supports their team on participating in Microsoft events. Contributes to setting up the events and promoting best practice sharing across subsidiaries. Coached team to support customer engagements in MTC/EBC centers.
  • Participates in regular strategic planning for their assigned territory. Reviews plans via Rhythm of Business (ROB) meetings and aligns the plans of their team across departments. Delivers impact by having a consistent coaching rhythm, maintaining excellence in pipeline management with the sales team.
  • Coaches their team to learn about and apply the orchestration model. Facilitates internal communication and collaboration by identifying resources and removing barriers.
Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or technology related field AND 10+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing and/or driving business growth or customer digital transformation, sales management, or leadership
  • OR Master\'s Degree/Business Administration degree in Sales, Marketing, or technology related field AND 8+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing and/or driving business growth or customer digital transformation, sales management, or leadership
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • Experience operating in Asia/APJ markets (ANZ, ASEAN, India, GCR, Japan, Korea); Asia language knowledge is a clear advantage
  • 3+ years in a global technology company
