Job Description

Objective of Function Data Management is responsible for delivering data availability, data quality, transparency & control and empower the organization with a united Data Management and Analytics Platform. Data Management is one of the five building blocks of ING’s “Accelerated Think Forward” strategy and you will play a crucial role in enabling ING to become a true data driven organization. As Expertise Lead, you have a passion for the combination of thinking and doing. You have an exemplary role and you show that you are a true ambassador for the new way of working and the ING culture (Orange Code). As Expertise Lead, you have earned your credibility and capability within the expertise areas that you are covering for (i.e. Data Analysis, Data Information Modeling, Data Governance, Data Quality). You determine how you work within your expertise and set the standards. You not only have a strong drive to continuously maintain your own expertise, but you also want to make an active contribution to further developing and innovating the field. In addition, you get energy from transferring your expertise to others and you get satisfaction from coaching (both professional and personal) the members of your Expertise Group to get the best out of themselves. You have a clear overview of the assignments that are carried out in your expertise teams and you monitor their output and ensure that is of high quality level and high business value. You maintain close contact with key global and local stakeholders in the Data Management domain. You will share a collective responsibility to improve ING’s performance and identify opportunities to better serve and delight customers. You will have an eye on the long-term perspective. You will continuously develop craftsmanship (through training, coaching, standards etc.). You will proactively anticipate dependencies and collaboration across the entire organization with the parties that need to contribute to a specific implementation, without relying on hierarchical structure or formal committees to do so. Education / level and field of study

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 5 years of experience in global operations / service delivery
• Has the capability to optimally function within an Agile environment
• Passion for Data (Management)
• Has the ability to display flexibility to teams and adapt plan, approach and behavior to the different needs, cultures and situations
• Strong experience in developing high performing data teams and people development (i.e. coaching and career conversations)
• Has a 'Do it-Try it-Fix it' mentality
• Can inspire a team based on personal leadership brand and show energy and passion
• Analytically skilled, able to bring structure and able to quickly identify the core problem
• Energetic, flexible and creative in achieving goals
• Respect people and their challenges
• Curious and open to new methodologies and techniques
• Work together and facilitate others within your Expertise Group to be successful
• Actively promote and stimulate personal development and coaching of team members
