Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities
\xef\x82\xa7 To prepare an accurate Dry-dock repair specification and review the job scope thoroughly with
attending superintendent/site team and Vessel manager within 3 months of estimated docking
time.
\xef\x82\xa7 Liaise with Shipyards representatives to provide dock space and progress updates check on any
repair projects.
\xef\x82\xa7 To analysis the various yard quotations, negotiate and prepare a budget for management.
approval including Dry docking schedule and duration.
\xef\x82\xa7 To control the overall dry-docking expenses to be within the approved Budget.
\xef\x82\xa7 To prepare financial weekly progress reports to assist the attending superintendent on the status
of the projects during the course of repairs at shipyard.
\xef\x82\xa7 To control the expenses within the allocated budget by continuous monitoring and weekly
reporting of costs and to highlight increased/decreased cost.
\xef\x82\xa7 To support the DD-Site Team as required including through scrutiny of shipyard bill, negotiate
and settle shipyard bills to save the cost.
\xef\x82\xa7 To save minimum 10% on shipyard draft bill by scrutinizing and negotiating amicably
\xef\x82\xa7 To negotiate with major suppliers and service providers in order to save the cost for Owner\xe2\x80\x99s
arrangement (Supply of paint, Spares and Services) during the course of repairs

• To prepare the DD variance report within 14 days from the date of ship\xe2\x80\x99s departure or shipyard

bill settlement.
\xef\x82\xa7 To prepare the DD-Budget for the next year latest by 30th Nov and maintain the 5 years docking
plan schedule updated
\xef\x82\xa7 To update the database for dry-docking such as History of Hull painting, Hold painting and Tank
painting to assist the Management in decision making.
\xef\x82\xa7 Analyze contractor works costing and negotiate fixed price for contractors to perform on common
repair works, services, and spares.
\xef\x82\xa7 Issuing POs to suppliers / vendors of the DD spares and services , also ensuring the yard and
supplier / vendor\xe2\x80\x99s invoices are reviewed and cleared in time.
\xef\x82\xa7 Review and Optimise the shipyards,Vendor and Supplier Contracts.
\xef\x82\xa7 Support on the Audit and manage vendors / contractor / supplier / shipyards on quality of
materials and services provided.

• Involve in special projects and programs as directed by the Head of Department \xe2\x80\x93 Dry Docking

and Repairs.
