Language requirements: English and MandarinWhat you will do:Workplace Options is seeking a qualified Fulltime EAP Clinical Counsellor to join our clinical team in Singapore. Our EAP Counsellors engage with participants over the phone, video, chat & email all while demonstrating what we call: The Power of a Good Conversation \xe2\x80\x93 creating a connection with the client to ensure they feel heard, supported, and cared for.It\xe2\x80\x99s difficult to describe an average day for our counsellors, as each caller presents with a unique set of challenges, and it would be from your clinical conversation that would help each person navigate a way forward.   • Provide single session telephonic and video counselling, in-the-moment support and crisis management in a supportive, ethical and professional manner while maintaining client-confidentiality.
  • Assess clients thoroughly to ensure appropriateness for short-term counselling
  • Assess and manage high risk calls and work closely with individuals at risk.
  • Appropriately refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach.
  • Collaboratively develop clear and concise treatment plans for clients.
  • Maintain clear clinical and task-oriented documentation in case management system.
The aforementioned duties do not encompass all responsibilities associated with the role. The appointed candidate will be required to undertake additional tasks pertinent to the position, as deemed appropriate and requested by their direct supervisors.Qualifications/Skills:
  • Counsellor with accompanying master\xe2\x80\x99s degree.
  • Minimum two years post-masters\xe2\x80\x99 direct client-contact experience or 500 hours of direct client contact hours.
  • Full member of Singapore Psychological Society, Singapore Association for Counselling, Singapore Association of Social Workers or its equivalent.
  • Member of the Singapore Registrar of Psychologists, with eligibility for registration or its equivalent.
  • Effectively bilingual (in Mandarin) having excellent command of English both in speech and writing.
  • Experience providing assessments and/or using clinical assessment tools.
  • Experience using short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, Systemic counselling.
  • Training in crisis intervention and supporting high risk clients beneficial.
  • Passionate about providing support to clients from anywhere in the world.
  • Sensitive to our clients\' culture and flexible in using a telephone interpreter if necessary.
  • Ability to work with clients presenting with substance abuse, situations of crisis, mental health symptoms and/or family relationship-related concerns impacting personal or work performance.
  • Proficient in using our various contact methods - phone, video, email, text and live chat.
