Note: This is a fixed term role for 12 months\' The Role Responsibilities

  • Our vision is to disrupt the organisation by attracting, developing, and deploying diverse early careers talent into areas of strategic importance.
  • This role takes responsibility for specific BU/s in Singapore. May take responsibility of execution on behalf of other recruiters based remotely with local hiring needs and play a role in programme delivery as directed by manager. Expectation for service-oriented delivery with performance mindset and at least foundational knowledge across our specialist areas.
Demand and Data
  • Prepares hiring schedule targeting the proactive, competitor window for Singapore.
  • Works with Hiring Managers and stakeholders in reconciling demand and data.
  • Understands the key metrics driving our processes and actively manages / communicates these during the cycle to ensure opportunities for course correction. Actively collects competitor data / intel
Branding and Events
  • Takes responsibility to understand the branding services available and fully utilises these to ensure thoughtful outreach. Understands the bank, our roles and offering.
  • Plan and execute on-campus and in-house events, play a key role in delivery, self-managing small engagements
  • Engaging communicator that can represent SC in a compelling fashion.
Application Management
  • Keeps an active eye to spot talent and foster relationships with target students and societies on campus. Understands our holistic offering to refer candidates across BUs
  • Screens applications in accordance with BU criteria (whilst mindful of diversity). Can monitor and flag concerns on application volumes
  • Sound foundation knowledge of recruitment fundamentals and safeguards to ensure the integrity of process. Able to input into BU hiring decisions
Offer Management
  • Articulates offers in a compelling fashion and able to determine hesitations within participants to refer their case to others within Business Units / Early Careers for closure if needed. Tracks offers for timely closure.
  • Schedules and manages events to keep incoming hires engaged and actively works to foster close relationships to hedge against pre-joiner attrition
Diversity
  • Prioritises diversity hiring and actively reviews pipelines and metrics across hiring process. Flagging shortfalls and issues as they occur. Understands and ensures adherence to our legal requirements
Candidate Care
  • Actively seeks to foster a responsive and engaging relationship will all candidates. Is respectful and educational in all interactions and helps to proactively manage expectations and guide throughout process
School & Competitor Communities
  • Establishes relationships with schools and seeks to build personal brand by engaging outside of peak periods. Seeks to find opportunities to partner with schools and collects insights from educational bodies and networking with competitors
Business
  • Develops a professional relationship with key contacts and is timely and helpful with requests. Managing expectations where needed and a reliable contact who understands process and can provide frontline advice
Processes
  • Ensure contract execution and completion of pre-joining documentation and pre-employment checks are completed by support teams
Governance
  • Manages their personal compliance requirements and understands the main constraints or potential issues associated with our processes
  • Ensure adherence to the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies and processes governing campus (student) hiring
  • Utilise reporting to ensure a balanced interview slate, ROI on campus strategy, time to hire, diversity metrics etc and take remediation action if there is a problem with our pipeline
  • Responsible for delivering effective governance and controls, and if necessary, oversee changes in these areas in partnership with an Early Careers Manager.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Wider Early Careers Team (Global); Employee Brand & Attraction Team, PRB, Assessment Team, Graduates/ Alumni, Summer Interns, People Leaders (Business), University Careers Services & Societies
Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group\xe2\x80\x99s brand and values in Early Careers; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures;
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ years of Early Careers or high-volume recruitment experience, preferably in the Banking & Finance Industry
  • Stakeholder Management Experience
  • Experience in End-To-End Recruitment
