ASSISTANT MANAGER, FINANCE
(Public healthcare cluster; central west location)Our client is one of three public healthcare clusters and an integrated general hospital in Singapore that offers holistic care from acute, sub-acute to rehabilitative settings and reduces the need for a patient to transfer to another healthcare institution.Overview
The team of Finance professionals support the operations and development of the Hospital.The incumbent will provide effective support for all aspects of financial analysis, budget & projection activities of the hospital. He/she will be a key financial resource and partner with various Finance & cross-functional teams to perform joint assessment and review of new programs/initiatives, exercise spends & cost control measures, as well as carry out sustainability and benchmark analysis.Job Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

  • Be a key financial resource & provide value-added support to the clinical & operational partners in understanding their operating expenses and performance, as well as review of strategic plans.
  • Support the annual budget/projection update activities and perform periodic operations review with stakeholders.
  • Maintain an effective set of program/specialty financial performance report and analysis to provide insights and drive cost controls with stakeholders.
  • Establish a strong understanding of healthcare financials, cost drivers and subsidy framework to provide effective analysis and recommendation to drive competitive costs (include benchmarking, identification of cost saving opportunities through data and metrics, cost recovery deep dive) and guide pricing decisions.
  • Support new and on-going projects to enhance Finance processes and controls.
  • Support and contribute to systems implementation projects (new Billing Transformation system, Costing Systemization, Subsidy review changes etc) and its change management tasks
  • Any other ad-hoc duties.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in healthcare sector
  • Has Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience, and/or Costing & Pricing knowledge
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organized, meticulous, resourceful, and able to work as a team as well as independently in a dynamic environment
  • Resilient character and confidence in management of ambiguity
  • Proficiency in SAP (FI-CO and ISH), MS Office applications and data visualization tools are added advantages
