Job Description


As our E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in scaling Plain Vanilla’s online business using data-driven and brand-led strategies. As a growing business with six stores, an e-commerce channel, retail and corporate revenue streams, as well as other business ventures, we are looking for a thoughtful, resourceful and impact-driven individual who can join us in our growth journey ahead. Being part of a brand-led organization requires this individual to possess strong digital marketing expertise backed by a belief in our brand truths and the ability to drive long-term brand value both organically as well as through paid channels. You will be reporting to the Senior Brand & Marketing Manager. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute data-driven, brand-aligned digital marketing strategies for all online channels so that the company can build sustained, consistent, and growing revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to understand operational capabilities and optimize website user journeys and funnels across various consumer segments.
  • Apply new and emerging AdTech, MarTech and attribution models to continuously enhance the performance of our online channels.
  • Develop our SEO strategy and implement best practices with ongoing actionable insights, optimization and organic traffic improvements.
  • Perform analytical work proactively in relation to audits, a/b testing and evaluate digital marketing and UX efforts through weekly performance reports.
  • Manage and optimize campaign budgets, ROAS and contribute to the content creation process.
  • Develop deep knowledge of our data infrastructure, and take ownership of our rewards program and CRM strategy, ultimately driving long-term brand love and loyalty.
  • Play a key role in achieving revenue targets for all online platforms (including same-day, advance, catering, corporate and retail sales) as well as for sister brand, Wonderland Botanicals.
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in marketing, business, or a similarly relevant field.
  • At least 3+ years’ experience working in e-commerce, direct channel sales and digital marketing positions.
  • Good knowledge of social media channels, paid advertising, Google Analytics, SEO and website optimization (UI/UX).
  • Must have had exposure to CRM and data management.
  • B2C lifestyle industry experience is desirable.
  • Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, Mailchimp, Eber and Tableau is a plus.
  • Possess brand development knowhow particularly in the context of media planning.
  • Passion for lifestyle offerings, new technologies, learning, content and driving long-term brand value.
  • Analytical, attentive to detail and able to proactively utilize data, consumer behaviour and market trends to maximize online revenue and enhance brand equity.

In a world of mass-produced confections, we wanted to go back to basics and bake like our mums and grandmothers used to – moist red velvet cupcakes topped with vanilla buttercream, apple pound cake drizzled with caramel, decadent chocolate brownies, warm and fudgey on the inside.
