What the role is:As a UX/UI Designer for the Singapore Student Learning Space (SLS), you will play a crucial role in designing intuitive and engaging teaching and learning experiences in SLS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and educational experts, to create design solutions that meet user needs and organisational goals. Your work will directly impact the way students learn and teachers teach, making a meaningful difference in the education landscape.What you will be working on:

• Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviours, and pain points of our target audience, analyse and synthesise research findings to inform design decisions and improve user experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify user needs and translate them into wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes (web and mobile interfaces) \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop user experiences that are desirable and intuitive, with well-balanced solutions that also consider organisational needs, feasibility and viability \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan and conduct usability tests to gather feedback on design prototypes and live products \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide design feedback and testing support to ensure high-quality implementation during the development phase

What we are looking for:

• A proactive and fast learner who can work independently and work well with others \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess knowledge and skills in Product or Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI Design or a related field \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience implementing projects using diverse user research methodologies and usability testing \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong technical and conceptual design skills as showcased in a portfolio \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in Figma and other similar design or collaboration tools, e.g. Miro \xe2\x80\xa2 Good understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices \xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding of WCAG web accessibility standards and best practices and knowledge of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with Agile development methodologies \xe2\x80\xa2 Interested candidates are required to submit their portfolios or links to their portfolios during application In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
