Purpose of Role

• To manage the day to day operations of the eFX and/or eFI trading business
• Provide feedback and ideas to Support, Technology & Quant Trading team in order to help build a plan to improve the overall E product
• Ensure that pricing remains available and competitive in line with the overall strategy, maintain customer service and profitability
• Actively review client performance as well as using the full suite of analytics to improve business performance

What does this role holder do? (or Accountabilities )

• Work for Head of eFX trading to implement the current strategy for the eFX trading product, to deliver the business objectives of financial targets, client delivery and risk & control
• Manage all day to day risks efficiently and in well controlled manner, from the automated market making and risk management business
• Highlight day to day issues to Support, Technology and Quant Trading in order to be remediated and ultimately for product improvement
• Engage with quantitative research teams to optimise the eFX product design and configuration
• Collaborate closely with the eFX Quant trading team to implement and monitor the current eFX strategic design and implement change more systematically. Provide feedback to group where appropriate
• Collaborate with eFX Quant team providing real times observations based on current set up and engage in the process of running the system in a strategic and systematic way through controlled experimentation and data review
• Actively review the automated market making and risk management performance as well as using the full suite of analytics to improve business performance
• Effectively manage Liquidity Provider relationships
• Collaborate with global sales teams to drive forward the client agenda helping to produce relevant MI, actions and product improvement. Focus on delivering the Client Strategy.
• Provide regular business updates on delivery and successes to management and other stakeholders
• Ensure we operate a well-controlled business and deliver all regulatory requirements specific to an E trading business

What are the skills, knowledge and experience needed to do the role?

• In depth knowledge and experience of eFX pricing and risk management strategies
• In depth knowledge of eFX and/or eFI ecosystems
• Track record in leading a quantitative approach to risk management
• Track record in developing successful alpha generating models
• Strong leadership
• Business-building aptitude
• Experience with high frequency databases, database software (in particular KDB) and research toolboxes (Python skills preferred)
• Strong mathematic background, ideally including statistics and modern machine learning methods
• Experience in running risk in eFX and/or eFI
• Strong interpersonal skills
