Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to oversee the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) function. The ideal EHS Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all EHS regulations and standards, as well as identifying and mitigating potential hazards within the plant.

Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees and ensure that all employees are aware of and understand their responsibilities related to EHS.
• Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage the EHS team to ensure that they are properly trained and have the necessary resources to carry out their responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain a system to track and report EHS performance metrics to the Plant Manager and corporate EHS.
• Investigate and report all EHS incidents and near-misses and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that all EHS-related permits are current and in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
• Conduct regular reviews of the EHS program and recommend and implement improvements as needed.

Profile

• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Health & Safety field is a pre-requisite.
• Possesses Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certification issued by the Ministry of Manpower Singapore.
• Additional beneficial professional certifications include Fire Safety Manager, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist.
• Familiar with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001, as well as other safety certifications.
• At least 8 years working experience in the Safety fields from the industrial automation manufacturing.
