Conduct safety induction training for all/ new staff and all contractors.
Conduct safety toolbox briefings.
Disseminate information on safety updates, incident sharing, and/or new initiatives.
Conduct job hazard analysis to determine safe working practices and engineering controls.
Assist team in the identification and/or clarification of safety-related matters and advice on hazards or control measures.
To ensure Risk Assessment and RA register for sites are updated and reviewed annually.
Recommend safety measures, safe work procedures, and environmental matters.
Plan and lead safety Gemba walk to eliminate, minimize or contain safety hazards.
To address safety observations/findings.
Conduct near-miss, incident, dangerous occurrences investigations, and accident reporting.
Reporting on monthly EHS Statistics.
Liaise with the government authorities and manage and renew company licenses.
Ensuring strict compliance with the statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements.
PPE sourcing, inventory management, and distribution and exchange PPE to staff.
Managing chemical waste, obtaining, compiling, and maintaining all SDS, chemical evaluation.
Perform EHS activities such as inspections, investigations, consultations, and but not least audits.
Assess the levels of noise, illumination, heat, or harmful or hazardous substances in the workplace and the exposure levels of persons at work therein.
Organizing EHS outreach activities and promotional programs.
Conduct emergency response drills.
Responsible as Fire Safety Manager and ensuring functional emergency response.
Security management-manage security, card access system, CCTV, and PA system.
Oversee the department\'s operational and financial status against allocated budgets.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with at least 2 years of relevant experience in Workplace Safety and Health;
Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and/or Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) will be added advantages.
Degree / Diploma in Engineering or Workplace Safety & Health Disciplines
Good communication skills both verbal and written in English.
Able to work independently and possess good interpersonal skills.
Able to resolve complex problems in a timely and effective manner.
Able to work effectively, diplomatically, and calmly in emergency situations
Proactive, independent, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure.
