Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer - Your future position?

Location: Woodlands, Singapore

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer at Givaudan, you will support the daily electrical, utilities, and/or process maintenance of the site.

Some of the main responsibilities are:

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure electrical system follow Singapore code of standards
• Ensure maintenance programs in compliance with EHS, GMP and local regulatory codes for all utility, building fire protection and Process control systems
• Comply with all site EHS requirements and participate in EHS site wide program (e.g. safety inspection), never put oneself and others at safety & health risks, and report any workplace incidents, near misses and hazards as soon as practicable.
• Active participation with stakeholders to address safety and quality concerns
• Identify opportunities for energy conservation and improve electrical system to support site sustainability goals
• Ensure safe, reliable, quality Utilities supplies to all the end-users and ensure maximum uptime of production equipment
• Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issue and breakdown
• Lead/Participate in Root Cause analysis, implement corrective & preventive measures and drive records for closure to prevent recurrence
• Establish service contracts/agreement with vendors with the necessary spare part list and effective inventory level to ensure maximum equipment uptime
• Provide engineering support during routine and shutdown maintenance work
• Ensure calibration of several field and test instruments
• Trouble shooting of electrical and instrumentation system
• Promote/support projects to meet department and site operation goals
• Lead site expansion, CAPEX and continuous improvement projects
• Develop SOP\'s and User requirement specifications
• Carry out other tasks as directed by Manager
• Participate and drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic / Electrical & instrumentation with at least 5-6 years working experience in manufacturing process plant OR
• Diploma in Electrical & Electronic / Electrical & instrumentation with at least 9-10 years working experience in manufacturing process plant

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of local regulatory rules and regulation and EHS requirements
• Familiar with CMMS- SAP (Maintenance module)
• Technical knowledge in Chiller, ACMV and BMS system
• Hands-on experience in VSD, Electrical control system and PLC/BMS
• Knowledge in ACMV design and hands-on CAD will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in maintenance of HT/LT power distribution system
• CI Yellow/Green belt certified will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience in field instrumentation (Pressure, flow, temperature and level transmitters)
