Technician (Power Systems)

Responsibilities

\xef\x82\xb7 To perform job assignments by selecting, using and maintaining various service tools correctly.

\xef\x82\xb7 To perform installation of electrical switches, sensors, transducers, transmitters, current transformers, alternator components, control panels, etc.

\xef\x82\xb7 To perform installation of engine wiring as accordance with the drawings provided.

\xef\x82\xb7 To disassemble and assemble engine components i.e. oil pump, water pump and cylinder

head, etc.

\xef\x82\xb7 To perform engine valve lash adjustment.

\xef\x82\xb7 To assist and perform mechanical works i.e. installation of radiator assembly, couplings,

engines, alternators, gearbox, piping, hoses, etc.

\xef\x82\xb7 To assist and perform alignment works for radiator assembly, engine and alternator

installation.

\xef\x82\xb7 To prepare generators for load test.

\xef\x82\xb7 To perform safety devices test and load test including the recording of the required

parameter readings.

\xef\x82\xb7 To perform ET tool connection onto engine to view diagnostic codes and events and file

date.

\xef\x82\xb7 To perform troubleshooting on engines and generators when problems arises.

\xef\x82\xb7 Knowledge of Hydraulic Staring System, Marine Gearbox, AC Power Alternator, alignment,

control panel and testing will of advantage.

\xef\x82\xb7 To perform general servicing on engines and alternators.

\xef\x82\xb7 IT knowledge will be of advantage.

\xef\x82\xb7 Programmable Logic Control knowledge will be of advantage.

Requirements

\xef\x82\xb7 Possess an ITE or equivalent.

\xef\x82\xb7 Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience.

\xef\x82\xb7 Electrical hands-on experience is a must.
