Responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Work with practice groups and Firm administrative departments on guidance for electronic records management and compliance with the Firm\'s Records Management Policy\xc2\xb7 Assist the Office of General Counsel with the document hold/preservation orders and collection processes. Work with applicable lawyers and staff on the identification and collection of potentially responsive email and electronic documents. Utilize search and collection tools to facilitate identification and collection of responsive documents\xc2\xb7 Administer process for the collection, review and release of electronic records necessary to comply with file releases associated with client requests. Expected to offer suggestions for process improvement, as appropriate\xc2\xb7 Oversee and report on the progress of disposition with regards to hardcopy records\xc2\xb7 Execute process for electronic records disposition including email and litigation support data in response to court-ordered document destruction or implementation of Firm retention policies.\xc2\xb7 Execute processes for electronic records access exceptions and other electronic records management related actions\xc2\xb7 Identify electronic record management risks and lead the development of action plans to mitigate identified risks\xc2\xb7 Provide support and guidance for electronic records migrated from shared drives or other electronic records storage areas to archival storage\xc2\xb7 Make decisions on the appropriate document management system for different forms of electronic records\xc2\xb7 Act as a liaison between lawyers and IT regarding issues of electronic records organization, access, retention and disposition\xc2\xb7 Process electronic records received in conjunction with the on boarding of new lawyers or the transfer of matters to the Firm\xc2\xb7 Conduct orientation of the Firm\'s records management policies and processes for new lawyers\xc2\xb7 Develop periodic and ad hoc reports regarding the quality and progress of the electronic records management initiatives\xc2\xb7 Lead the effort to research and assess leading practices and emerging technologies for electronic records management\xc2\xb7 Identify, evaluate and recommend resources and toolsRequirements\xc2\xb7 At least four years of records management or IT experience, preferably in a professional services firm\xc2\xb7 Prior experience extracting and exporting data from Symatic\'s Enterprise Vault, Microsoft Exchange, Purview and NetDocuments\xc2\xb7 Experience with Purview or similar e-discovery tools\xc2\xb7 Experience with programming languages including XML and SQL\xc2\xb7 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, including .PST creation and review\xc2\xb7 A strong interest in technology, and experience with information management systems such as records management databases, litigation support systems and document management systems\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of data storage, migration and data conversion techniques\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of records preservation procedures, practices, and techniques\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of document lifecycle management for both hardcopy and electronic documents\xc2\xb7 Experience with content management systems such as Documentum, FileNet, Hummingbird, Open Text, iManage or NetDocuments\xc2\xb7 Experience with records management software such as Filetrail\xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and basic network functions\xc2\xb7 Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and OneNote\xc2\xb7 Strong IT sense and proven ability to master a wide range of applications\xc2\xb7 Direct experience working with various forms of storage media\xc2\xb7 Proven program/project management experience\xc2\xb7 Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)\xc2\xb7 Required to occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 40 lbs
