Job Description

A commercial engineer uses their mechanical, electrical and scientific knowledge to design and develop new products, systems, buildings or infrastructures with the goal of maximizing profit for the organization. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Review the bid requirements and prepare tender documentation
• Conduct Technical evaluation, Bill of Quantity (BOQ) take-off and cost analysis
• Coordinate, prepare and compile bid submission documents in relation to tendering/ bidding activities, tender questionnaires, overall project budget
• Source, obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers / sub-contractors according to tender requirements
• Participate in tender interviews and handle post tender queries and clarifications
• Arranging meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to review the specifications, scope of works and method of construction if required
• Work closely with the project team and ensure proposals are technically competent, innovative where appropriate, fully addressing the client\'s stated requirements or agreeing preferable solutions / alternatives in advance of submission

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
• At least 3 - 5 years relevant experience in the Tender / Quantity Surveying function, preferably in handling ACMV and within construction industry.
• Experience and relevant knowledge in ACMV calculations including heat load, pump size, air flow rate, chilled water system performance, chiller sizing and configuration, fan sizing and more.
• Good interpersonal skills and pro-active in problem solving
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
