Position Summary Rockwell Automation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Manager to lead our dynamic and innovative software development team. As a Software Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the successful delivery of high-quality software products, managing a team of talented developers, working as part of a global product development team, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software development, strong leadership skills, and the ability to balance technical excellence with strategic business goals. Essential Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development; develop a world-class software team through competency development and performance management.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects within established timelines and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and objectives. Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable software products.
• Drive technical excellence and innovation within the software development team. Assess and address skill gaps within the team through training and recruitment.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve software development processes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including product managers, to define technology roadmap and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones to senior management.

Qualifications
Education Requirements
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Required Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in software development, with at least 10 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong technical background with expertise in Windows applications, Web/Cloud technologies, and .NET C# and C++ languages.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Direct experience with the Industrial Automation industry is an advantage.
