Engineering Technician (Maintenance), Singapore

This role will provide the incumbent exposure to a manufacturing plant environment, reporting into the maintenance section of the engineering department. The engineering technician (maintenance) is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on production machinery. You will also be required to supervise mechanical, electrical and instrumentation contractors and ensure that all work is done in a safe and compliant manner in a Good Manufacturing Practice setting.

The Position:

• Perform maintenance of manufacturing assets such as spray bed dryers, liquid formulation machinery and blending equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment with required technical skills and safety-first mindset (including food safety).
• Full compliance to all safety requirements and adhere to proper permit to work, LOTO practice.
• Actively participate and contribute to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) continuous improvement.
• Perform predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Executive work processes in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), SOPs and maintenance protocols.
• Assigned as technical equipment owner for associated technology i.e. Powder, Liquid, Spray Bed Dry
• Field contractor supervision to ensure safety and quality is complied.
• Develop and review all work instructions and conduct root cause failure assessment for recurring downtime.
• Utilize CMMS to generate, document work orders and support spare parts inventory management.
• Support CAPEX projects and lead small improvement projects.
• Other engineering / administrative tasks assigned by Engineer / Manager.

• Higher Nitec in related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electronic Engineering related discipline with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Detail oriented and enjoy hands on work in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in computerized maintenance management system.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken English.
