Specialist Teachers


Overall Responsibilities

• 
  Provide specific intervention methods to the children in the areas of academic, behaviour learning, social and communication skills.
• Provide push-in/pull-out one-on-one/small group specialist remedial intervention in literacy and numeracy.
• Assess and monitor the progress of learners and set goals for improvement, including report writing.
• Assess, interpret and formulate individualised learning plans.
• Work cooperatively with all educators and families to support children’s learning and development.
• Prepare and update lesson plans, and reports for students on the learning cycle.
• Manage clear and precise parent interaction. Participate in parent interaction and maintain clear and verifiable records of agreements.
• Engage with school teams to contribute to the safe and seamless running of the organisation.
• Take up extra-curricular activities. Be a part of school events, assemblies, staff training, meetings etc.
• Promote the health and safety of assigned classes.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of relevant full-time learning support experience as a qualified teacher.
• Candidates must at least possess a Bachelor's degree in Education and qualifications in learning support/learning difficulties/dyslexia teaching and certification and/or membership with local/international professional bodies.
• Familiar with common learning support/remedial/reading intervention programs, theories, tools and methodologies for identification and assessments.
• Must have strong knowledge and experience of the IB PYP curriculum and integration of learning.
• Experience in an international school environment (preferred). Clinical experience may be considered.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
