ABOUT EQUAL | WHO WE ARE EQUAL is a Singapore-based charity with Institute of Public Character (IPC) status. We offer animal-assisted programmes to children, youths, persons with special needs, families and the elderly to equip them with life skills and to support social integration. Our animal-partners are rescued animals whom we rehabilitate, retrain and care for, so they can journey with us to transform the lives of our clients through the unique programmes we offer. Our Equine Programme Centre is nestled in a charming and rustic area along Thomson (near Caldecott MRT Station) while our Canine Programme Centre is located at the Enabling Village (near Redhill MRT Station).

PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT & DELIVERY

  • Design, plan and lead suitable programmes for clients.
  • Develop programme intervention and care plans for clients.
  • Implement assessment frameworks and innovative approaches for programmes.
  • Organise events and activities for EQUAL\xe2\x80\x99s partners or clients.
  • Coordinate with schools, partners and stakeholders.
  • Perform programme administrative duties including beneficiary progress reports.
  • Conduct smooth-running of programmes and events using evidence-based framework.
  • Evaluate and measure the impact of programmes on our clients over the short and long term.
  • Contribute to advocacy and research work related to our work, where possible.
ANIMAL-HANDLING
  • Learn and apply the basics of animal management (i.e. Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) and animal related therapy courses) in the programme facilitation.
  • Assist with husbandry duties before and after programme.
OTHERS
  • You will report directly to the Equine Programme Manager.
  • You may need to work on the weekends and public holidays on occasion if there are programmes or events.
  • You are to provide operational assistance to the Equine and Canine Programme Department when required.
You may be asked to support other ad-hoc activities or projects.

REQUIREMENTS | WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Technical Competencies
  • Educational and professional background in social work, counselling or psychology will be an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed.
  • Experience in group facilitation and working with people with special needs or disabilities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based framework.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Computer proficiency.

  • Able to confidently deliver programmes to beneficiaries.
  • Able to engage stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs.
