Role Overview:

As an ESG Manager, you will be a key member of our Asia team based in Singapore, supporting the Asia Regional ESG Manager and the wider ESG team in all tasks related to the investment of managed funds across the regional portfolio. You will be responsible for conducting E&S due diligence of deals, preparing inputs to investment papers, participating in investment committee meetings, managing project development tasks, and providing project-related advice and guidance for E&S management. You will also be involved in E&S governance and strategy, impact analysis and reporting, and contributing to thought leadership initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Conduct E&S due diligence of deals in accordance with company processes.

Prepare inputs to investment papers, attend investment committee meetings, and provide support to the investment process.

Manage project development phase tasks related to IFC-compliant environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) and other specialist studies.

Attend meetings, liaise with project partners, and provide project-related advice and guidance for E&S management.

Assist with project governance and management, including preparation of documents and participation in management meetings.

Support the development and implementation of investment-specific Community Development Programmes.

Assist with the development, revision, and update of key governance documents such as Responsible Investment Policy, ESMS, and Community Development Framework.

Contribute to the development of tools and templates for use by the ESG team.

Support with all required ESG performance and impact reporting commitments, including quarterly and annual investor reports.

Conduct research and prepare papers and presentations on current, cross-cutting, or emerging themes in the field of ESG related to the company\'s business and managed funds.

Qualifications and Experience:

Master\'s degree in an ESG-relevant discipline.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in ESG management.

Expertise in renewables, water, wastewater, and/or waste infrastructure.

Excellent knowledge of environmental and social issues as they relate to the company\'s business.

Technically proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Proficiency in written and verbal English; knowledge of an Asian language would be an advantage.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet challenging deadlines.

Self-starter and team player.

Ability to build and improve effective internal working relationships at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to lead change by embracing new and different approaches.

Strong motivational skills.

Ability to set and meet deadlines.
