Job Description

Our client, a leading Climate Focused Private Equity (PE) Fund, is seeking an ESG Manager to join their team in Singapore. As an ESG Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies for the fund\'s portfolio companies, ensuring they are aligned with the fund\'s climate-focused investment strategy.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement ESG strategies and policies for the fund\'s portfolio companies, ensuring they are aligned with the fund\'s climate-focused investment strategy

Conduct ESG due diligence on potential investments, working closely with investment teams to assess ESG risks and opportunities

Monitor and report on ESG performance of portfolio companies, identifying areas for improvement and developing action plans to address any issues

Engage with portfolio companies to promote best practice in ESG management, providing guidance and support as required

Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, portfolio company management teams, and industry groups

Requirements:

Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or Finance

At least 5 years of experience in ESG management, preferably within a private equity or investment management context

A strong understanding of climate change and its impact on investments, as well as a good understanding of ESG frameworks and standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed recommendations

Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and standards related to ESG and sustainability

A strong commitment to sustainability and climate action
