Digitalization is one of the key pillars to help EVF reach its ambition. VIA is also embarking on the ambition to leapfrog competition through a digital acceleration program with the following vision: 'VIA will fully integrate Digital capabilities & culture within its operations to boost business growth and profitability in 2025+'. On top of the EVF program, Sanofi Industrial Affairs is starting an accelerated journey for all our sites to improve performance and transform into fully digital plants: paperless in all operations, capturing and leveraging data, changing the user experience from shopfloor to management. The role of the Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS) team is to drive industrial excellence to achieve the site's strategy and ambition. The SMS team brings a high level of expertise and leadership in SMS methodology, industrial performance, digital solutions, transformation, and change management. SMS teams collaborate with all functions in the site, with platform SMS and actively contribute to the Sanofi SMS network. SMS Family transformation is a key opportunity to embrace Factory 4.0 on the 3 pillars: culture, performance, operating model leveraging digital and play an active role in bringing our sites to the Factory of the Future. Under the direction of the EVF SGP Manufacturing 4.0 & Operational Excellence Head, the EVF SGP Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for: Bringing a high level of expertise and leadership in SMS methodology, industrial performance, digital solutions, transformation, and change management Driving industrial and organizational performance to achieve the site's strategy and ambition Understanding the business needs and transforming them into a tangible and achievable roadmap (including strategic, SMS and digital) in close collaboration with all functions in the site, Global Digital teams, and ITS partners Key accountabilities Reporting to the EVF SGP Manufacturing 4.0 & Operational Excellence Head, key accountabilities of the role will evolve according to the phases of the project. During the project phase, the role will spend 60% of the time as a Digital Project Manager responsible for digital projects deployment as per the EVF digital roadmap and 40% of the time as Operational Excellence Manager to build SMS capabilities and to support Site Project Management Office (PMO) and Site Strategic Planning. Master planning Proactively work with a variety of EVF functional teams in identifying the specific digital opportunities and requirements that exist across the entire business and portfolio Gather and interpret project requirements to deploy resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner Develop a detailed project plan and monitor progress Plan and manage project milestones, timelines, and resources for various projects simultaneously throughout each project's phases Stakeholder management Responsible for Site Performance Roadmap including all SMS assessments Build SMS, Transformation and Digital capabilities by deploying SMS upskilling program to deliver site roadmap Set up and develop SMS team with up to 3 direct reports Ensure efficient resource utilization and alignment on Site performance objective Ensure performance initiatives are delivered on-time and within established budgets, while delivering the committed value to the site performance Prepare the stakeholder landscape across the site for major SMS change initiatives (incl. clear and effective communication) System Ownership & Governance Adapt deployment package to accelerate digital solution adoption at EVF level Monitor adherence to standards across the EVF and engage mitigations when needed Lead and use best practice governance methodology to manage and successfully deliver project by leading meeting with Digital and Business Provide regular status updates including project risks, cost updates, manpower updates Process alignment and business value realization Lead the roll out of existing global Digital products while ensuring synergies with the global Digital roadmaps Contribute to assess high level Human and Organizational Impacts on EVF to prepare the change management associated with the Digital products roll-out Work with stakeholders to highlight opportunities, challenge the needs, agree on the scope of work, in line with business objectives, whilst managing expectations Deliver projects on time ensuring quality standards are met Identify gaps in the progress of a project and anticipate making critical adjustments to ensure on-time delivery Training, change management and Communication Provide education and guidance to EVF functional teams on the way digital solutions might impact the way their teams work, and support them in embedding change Contribute to the design & delivery of user guides & training modules Ensure timely updates are communicated to stakeholders Provide leadership and coaching to ensure that Site Performance deliver well-defined and quantified outcomes SMS capabilities and SMS network Ensure that SMS standards to manage performance are implemented on site Interact with external bodies to broaden knowledge base and maintain a current knowledge of industry best practices Develops SMS Capabilities (including Factory 4.0 and data culture) to ensure their skills and experiences match the needs of projects and site organization, now and in the future Contribute with the global team and across platforms to standards, to develop SMS skills Support best practice sharing across sites Scope and dimensions Breadth of responsibility (global/regional/country/site): Scope is Global during Project phase since EVF process approach will be designed to be used both in a Brownfield Location (Neuville, France) and in a Greenfield Location (Tuas, Singapore) Accountable for both execution and performance trajectory Key dimensions: Strong interfaces with overall EVF Functions (Production, Quality, Engineering, etc.) Self-organized and Autonomous Leadership / Coaching Freedom to act, level of autonomy: Fix harmonization rules in accordance with objectives Responsible to report risk and difficulties, define remediation plan and request support Education and experience Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, with 5+ years in manufacturing operations, 3+ years of leadership experience (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry) /& relevant experience in managing multiple simultaneous projects, optimizing resources within given resources, budget, and schedule Experience in project planning execution, controlling, and project risk management Expert in Lean Manufacturing and experience in leading transformation programs Vaccines & Biotech Processes understanding/knowledge Creativity/Conceptual ability High level of autonomy Strong intrinsic problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, able to manage effectively multiple level communications up to top management and down to project team members, able to manage cross-sites and cross-functional communications SMS certification advanced level (Black Belt equivalent) Preferably PMP qualified, or equivalent professional certification Change Management experience Fluent in English (speaking and writing) At Sanofi diversity and inclusion is foundational to how we operate and embedded in our Core Values.
