About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities
Joining as the Head of Enterprise Technology & Operations, Risk, you will provide leadership and technology solutions specializing in Enterprise Technology for Enterprise Risk Management across the Bank. This includes and is not limited to primary expertise in Credit Risk, Market Risk, Capital Risk, Operational Risk. Secondary expertise in regulatory compliance and Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) would be helpful. In partnership with Risk function leaders and stakeholders you will design, implement and lead the technology roadmap strategy for the organization for Enterprise Risk. You will ensure the Bank\'s technology solutions support the Risk function\'s strategic goals and ambitions.
You will be extremely adaptable and possess exceptional communication skills to be able to build and foster great working relationships with business and technology stakeholders alike and your team members. You will be a visible and influential people leader, with an ability to inspire, guide and train the people around you.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Acts as a single point of contact (trusted advisor) for senior stakeholders and influencers.
  • Supports effective business change by building relationships with business leaders, technology and operational business partners.
Change Implementation Planning & Management
  • Anticipate the business challenges, objectives of the T&O initiatives to be undertaken, high level budgets and success criteria.
  • Undertake scoping and evaluation of new initiatives. Defining overall considerations, including scalability, maintainability, cost, operations and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation.
  • Ensures that there is a business perspective on how the new operations and technical capabilities will be delivered to the business.
  • Initiate the implementation plan for Group T&O projects. This will include all the activities that the business needs to do to prepare for new operation process and technical components.
  • Spot potential problems, recognize the risk impact and propose risk mitigation strategies.
Managing RUN
  • Manage the communication and regular updates to business stakeholders on production incidents and problems impacting customer and business operations
  • Lead the regular review with business on system stability, responsiveness, production incident, problem tickets including identification of root cause.
  • Track for continuous improvement. Ensure early identification and resolution of challenges impacting BAU systems.
Sustainable Improvements
  • Build a sustainable process for measuring benefits to ensure T&O resources are aligned to business initiatives which provide the highest ROI.
Job Requirements
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant banking experience
  • Deep understanding of the Risk Management Framework, Risk Management Systems and Controls, Operational Management, Internal Audit and Governance.
  • Demonstrates primary extensive knowledge and/or a proven record in risk including and not limited to Credit Risk, Market Risk, Capital Risk, Operational Risk (e.g. Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review),
  • Preferable to have secondary relevant knowledge of Compliance Technology (AML/ CFT, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption and Fraud) experience in banking, insurance and/or asset management.
  • Knowledge of the global risk and regulatory environment and a strong understanding of expectations of regulators, especially developments in the FCC space is helpful.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process design skills that can translate analysis into actions that meet business objectives
  • Understanding of technology and operational processes across functions / departments in the bank/market.
  • Experience in scoping and evaluation - Defining overall considerations, including scalability, maintainability, cost, operations and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation

Education
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering/ business/ finance or equivalent
