Job Description

Reporting to the Governing Council, the Executive Director will have overall responsibility for crafting, planning, implementing and integrating the strategic direction of the Institute and supporting all MDIS Business Entities. This individual should have a successful track record of building and scaling a company, establishing a vibrant culture, and providing effective leadership. The ideal candidate should have significant expertise in high-level decision making, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, building effective senior management teams, and is personable and an industry thought-leader.

Job Responsibilities:

• Setup overall business strategy with year on year revenue growth supported by strong academics and sustained brand building
• Provide leadership in guiding the overall expansion and development of the Institute and support its business entities locally and internationally
• Responsible for growing the Institute\'s business in line with agreed annual business plans and key performance targets
• Set comprehensive goals for performance, profitability and growth of schools
• Overall responsibility to drive acquisition of new students and retaining current students to meet set annual revenue and profitability targets
• Significant full P&L ownership with a proven history of successful revenue growth
• Design and implement business operations strategies, plans and procedures
• Develop business strategy and performance benchmarks and ensure that these are achieved in order to achieve overall business goals.
• Oversees and ensures compliance to educational standards, delivery and quality of outcomes and services
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of higher education practices and policies within the Singapore and the countries where MDIS operates
• Encourage best practices in the schools in line with international best practices
• Ensure high teaching and academic standards so to increase retention and accelerate student progression
• Establish/ensure compliance with education policies and promote a culture of life- long learning
• Prepare and present yearly budget for Council\'s approval and manage Institutes\' resources within budget guidelines and to set policies in accordance with current laws and regulations
• Responsible for Risk analysis and Business continuity management
• Undertake such other duties as the MDIS Council shall from time to time assign or vest in you.
• Adhere to all legislative requirements pertaining to education in Singapore and the respective territories and comply with all regulatory requirements of the Committee for Private Education (CPE) and SkillsFuture Singapore.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Masters in Business Administration
• Must have around 20+ years of working experience of which at least 15 years of experience is in the Education industry, preferably with proven skills in designing strategies for business growth and expansion and proven track record in growth and expansion of higher education institutions
• Should have directly managed P&L operations in the education business, of at least $50 million with a proven history of sustained revenue growth
• Must be a current operational executive (CEO, President, GM, MD, etc.), with a significant number of years as a Executive Director
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive with excellent business acumen including financial management, personnel administration, and regulatory compliance
• Experienced and efficient leader with exemplary work ethics and excellent collaboration and people skills with proven ability to build a strong management team
• You shall be located in the Institute\'s office(s) in Singapore. A fair amount of travelling is required for this position
