Job Description

What the role is:As an Engineer in Catchment & Waterways department, you would work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan, develop and manage our waterways for water supply and flood control, and integrate them with the surrounding environment in a sustainable manner. We are looking for Engineers to join the Drainage Construction & Drainage Planning division. Your main roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to:What you will be working on:Drainage Construction Division Detailed planning, hydraulic and structural design of drains Implement, procure, administer and manage drainage projects and related contracts to ensure timely, delivery of projects in accordance with Contract, safety and budgetary requirements Coordinate, consult and obtain approval from all relevant stakeholders to implement drainage projects. Attend to feedback from stakeholders and agencies and take necessary actions to resolve issues to ensure smooth implementation of projects. Drainage Planning Division Perform catchment control to ensure drainage infrastructures are put in place ahead of infrastructure developments for flood control Evaluate and reply planning consultations, infrastructure development submissions, temporary drain diversion works to ensure compliance with Code of Practice for Surface Water Drainage Engage Qualified Persons/Professional Engineers/agencies on drainage and flood protection requirements Review drainage adequacy and develop drainage schemes to alleviate flooding and to support infrastructure developments Work with agencies to safeguard and secure the land needed for drainage purpose Attend to feedback from stakeholders on drainage planning mattersWhat we are looking for:

• Bachelor in Civil / Environmental Engineering Candidates with experience in project management or planning works would be advantageous Independent, result oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills Applicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
