Job Description

:

The candidate is to oversee the efficient operation and category management of meat and/or RTE products inclusive of counters assigned to him/her across all of FairPrice. This role involves setting up counters, managing multi-deck chiller displays, tracking performance, guiding/training/monitoring staff performance on the ground, ensuring quality control, maintaining inventory, maximizing profitability, and managing shrinkage while adhering to health and safety standards across all stores.

Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or Equivalent required
• Additional certification of training in butchery, food service operations, food safety or management is an advantage
• Proven 5 to 10 years of meat processing, butchery, or a related field with managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• People management with excellent communication and internal/external customer service skills.
• Proficiency in inventory/shrinkage management, budgeting, and basic computer skills
• Organised, self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Possesses significant protein/RTE knowledge, handling, safety, quality, store/counter setup, good standards of merchandising
• Sound financial and budgeting skills
• Sound written and verbal communication
• Computer literary (SAP, Tableau, Microsoft, Google Suite)
