The role provides an opportunity to learn and contribute to development-related functions and will be beneficial for someone who has an interest in philanthropy and aspires to build a career in development work.

The responsibilities of this role are:

• Work closely with fundraisers, gift administrators and the Provost\'s Office on gift acceptance process for gifts designated for university-wide purposes.
• Work with gift administrators supporting the Provost\'s Office to ensure that gifts are used correctly and promptly.
• Work on gift stewardship matters, primarily in the areas of gift utilisation, gift reporting and appreciation letters, for university-wide gifts.
• Review and develop policies, processes and work on best practices related to gift matters related to Provost\'s Office.
• Ensure that gifts are accepted in accordance with University statutes, policies and guidelines.
• Facilitate the approvals of gift recording documents and naming recognition at the University.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

• An interest in philanthropy work.
• Proactive and meticulous.
• Process-driven with strong critical thinking skills.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while being a good team player.
• A recognized university degree; candidates who possess a diploma with relevant experience will also be considered. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Experience in higher education or in philanthropy will be a plus.
