As part of the Asia Pacific Communications team, the External Communications Specialist is responsible for providing corporate communication support to Aon in the Asia Pacific region which includes social media support and media relations as well as provide support to the leadership team on the amplification of key corporate messaging.
This role will report to the Head of Communications, APAC, but work closely with the media relations managers in Asia and Pacific.

What the day will look like
Preparing and posting corporate social media posts on our regional social media channels that promote and support our brand and reputation in the market
Support on drafting of social media posts for key Aon leaders
Supporting colleagues across Aon on social media tools, techniques and best practice
Working with the media relations manager, supporting on drafting, editing and proofreading and obtaining approvals of external communications materials, including press releases, pitches, FAQs, etc
Monitoring media coverage and social media engagement
Liaising with key stakeholders, including our Global Communications team
Liaising with content and PR agencies as required
Sharing releases and press coverage on our digital channels (internal and external)
Admin and reporting related to media, social and PR activities
Skills and experience that will lead to success
At least 5 years of experience with social media community management, developing social media content (company and individuals) and measuring performance
Hold a tertiary qualification in PR / communications / journalism / marketing
Familiar with social media platforms including Hootsuite, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram
Experience working for/with large corporate organisation/s in a regulated environment a plus
Strong interpersonal and communications skills and comfortable working closely with senior leadership
Show strong teamwork and ability to work in a collaborative environment across geographical locations
