The External engagement excellence director will lead the medical education initiatives across APAC to establish ViiV as the leader in medical education. In their role they will be responsible for consistent insights gathering for ViiV and competitor products including advances in the field of HIV to provide strategic direction and launch initiatives that best address challenges and opportunities in the therapy area (in partnership with internal stakeholders including global teams). They will also be responsible for external advice seeking and competitor intelligence to ensure strategies are appropriate for our franchise objectives. Aside from that, they will provide cross product / portfolio training to GSK medical teams. They will also assure scientific and medical information needs of external opinion leaders are met. They will direct training of health care professionals who are engaged by ViiV to deliver scientific presentations and to ensure compliance with all applicable corporate policies, SOPs and external regulations. They work in partnership with RMLs to remain aligned and focused as we now have a portfolio of products across APAC. Responsibilities Lead the insights process for APAC to ensure consistency, dissemination of findings and identify actionable tactics across portfolio Lead the medical education strategy across APAC to establish ViiV as the leader in medical education (across the therapeutic area) based on robust needs assessment evaluation Align LOC external engagement activities are aligned to our ViiV APAC strategy Ensure the individualization of medical touchpoints with HCPs, Patients, scientific organizations at LOC level leveraging peer to peer exchange where possible Champion innovative approaches in virtual settings with less fragmented touchpoints but higher impact and meanings to HCPs Act as the external engagement subject matter expert to all APAC medical initiatives leading the delivery of regional activities Develop LOCs capabilities to deliver a tailored engagement experience to identified EEs and developing the medical audience to digital opinion leaders Support local execution for example identification of right medical audience, understanding level tracking, prioritization of engagements, narrative development Maintain the continuity in external engagement where needed They will work closely with their commercial counterparts to ensure promotional meetings are credible, scientific and of value to HCPs while aligned to our portfolio.
