Leading on-site operations

Are you a pro at giving on-site support? Working with a team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll oversee the day-to-day client activities for the assigned facility as site lead. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also implement building procedures and performance measures\xe2\x80\x94and ensure that they are maintained at all times. Likewise, you\xe2\x80\x99ll boost on-site operations by promoting best practices, innovations and creating better processes. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work closely with Senior Facilities Manager to ensure management support and backup across all facilities. Providing operational oversight of technical and non-technical services for the team, at the same time leading your team in event management. This job will also entail the question \xe2\x80\x9cHow do I ensure the safety of my colleagues?\xe2\x80\x9d You will do this by promoting adherence to health and safety standards.

Winning our clients\xe2\x80\x99 trust

As the facilities manager, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be working frequently with clients, so you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to build strong relationships with them. Likewise, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be proactive and engaging; and make sure that the clients\xe2\x80\x99 diverse expectations are met each and every time. You will also be the go-to person for any facilities-related concerns from client and tenants.

Keeping an eye on budget and contracts

Do you have a solid background in finance management? As the person in charge, you will take care of the site\xe2\x80\x99s financial operations. (e.g. forecasting / budgeting / analysis of variance and cost benchmark) Key deliverable such as formulating and implementing operation and long-term capital planning and budgeting process. Also, part of your job is to coordinate with vendors and suppliers, and make sure that they deliver quality work practices according to the contract, and at the right cost.

Competent and goal-driven

Do you have five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of managing a property and a degree of any discipline from a recognised tertiary establishment? If so, you will be a perfect fit for the role. Likewise, an experience in managing commercial contracts and budgets may just help you land this job. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also need to be a goal-oriented individual who\xe2\x80\x99s an ace in health and safety requirements, vendor management, legislative requirement and property technical systems management. As lead for the team, you need to be flexible to work on occasional public holiday, weekend and night shifts when necessary.

Organised and analytical

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a self-motivated and quick-thinking facilities manager who can solve problems using quantitative methods and holistic approaches. Likewise, we\xe2\x80\x99re on the lookout for well-organised leaders who plan tasks in advance and constantly stay ahead of deadlines.

Engaging and professional

A passion for excellence is what makes a great facilities manager. We\xe2\x80\x99ll need someone who can do more than the bare minimum to meet our clients\xe2\x80\x99 expectations. In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll also be working with different kinds of people, so you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be an expert in handling them professionally. Likewise, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to effectively manage, train and inspire the team to always do better. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also need to take the time to listen to your people to create better work impact.
