Duties & Responsibilities

• Planning of duty roster for kitchen assistants
• Preparing kitchen assistants for operations based on their daily tasks
• Provide training for new kitchen assistants
• Work with Dietician & Speech Therapist on modified consistency and therapeutic diets
• Assist with the development and setting up of EMOS
• Assist with participating and coordinating of EMOS related meetings with Nursing, Dietician, Speech Therapist
• Ensure all meals trolley in the Staging Cold Room are chilled prior to the assembly of meals
• Ensure all meals for patients are plated and assembled accurately prior to dispatch
• Ensure all meals are dispatched on time to the wards and all requests for additional meals are issued within the stipulated time frame
• Assist supervisor in attending to patients\' complaints together with the Sous Chef / Chef de Parties to follow up and ensure patients are satisfied with the action taken within the means defined by the hospital
• Ensure all receiving, offices, kitchen doors are locked before closing
• Managing bulk meaal orders for staff, compile and prepare for all catering orders submitted to Food Services
• Collate diet slips, meal orders and prepare daily meal summaries for food preparation
• Assist in the compilation of monthly meal statistics
• Coordination with various kitchen sections and preparation of basic items necessarily for a smooth backend daily operation
• Assist in delivery and serving of meals for inpatients and in-house event
• Handle emails, telephone and tiger-text enquiries and feedbacks, while always displaying pro-active communication etiquette

Requirements

• Possess at least a GCE \'N\' or \'O\' levels or equivalent
• At least 1 years of experience in F&B / or in hospital industry
• Equipped with Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Ability to work in teams
• Competent in MS Office
