Job Description

My client is a global manufacturing giant specializing in aerial work platforms, telehandlers, utilities industry equipment, materials processing machinery, and cranes for construction, maintenance, manufacturing, energy, and materials management applications.

• Provide comprehensive technical support for machines in service.
• Collaborate effectively with Technical Services, Sales, and cross-functional team members.
• Develop a commercial understanding of the company AWP strategy and customer base to identify and support commercial opportunities.
• Perform mandatory inspections on AWP machinery to Genie or local governing standards.
• Service and repair machines at customer locations or the company facilities to ensure compliance with specifications and company policy.
• Conduct assessments/inspections on AWP machinery, reporting findings and creating action plans.
• Interact with team members to share technical and commercial information accurately and timely.
• Notify appropriate team members of any defective or unsafe equipment.
• Inspect and test wiring and circuitry, replacing faulty parts as needed.
• Clean parts and equipment using chemical solutions; apply finishes and surface coatings.
• Conduct basic quality checks and support the quality program through closed-loop reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all relevant reports and documentation.
• Work flexibly to perform additional tasks within skills and abilities as required by company AWP.
• Ensure compliance with company AWP processes, procedures, and local laws.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers, maintaining a high standard of customer care.
• Other ad-hoc duties
• Demonstrate flexibility and be willing to travel, including cross-border travel at short notice.

Job Requirements

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
• Possess a valid driving license.
• Preferred: IPAF operators\' license or Genie operator\'s license.
• Preferred: Valid forklift license.
• Preferred: Valid CAP Certification (IPAF Competent Assessed Person)
• Essential time-served Apprentice with a background in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical aspects.
• Essential experience with capital equipment/plant equipment.
• Previous experience working with MEWP products.
• Previous experience and understanding of the rental channel.
• Minimum of three years\' experience working on MEWP\'s in the Powered Access Industry.
• Previous experience in plant, diesel engines, auto electrics, hydraulics, diagnostic fault finding with lifting equipment, and servicing MEWPs.
• Experience in coaching or supporting other team members is desirable.
