About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on IoT / Field Technician to support the deployment and maintenance of hardware devices and sensors in the field. You will work with engineers to install and troubleshoot smart infrastructure devices at building sites, energy installations, and connected environments.

Key Responsibilities

o Device Installation

- Install IoT sensors, gateways, and controllers at field locations.

- Mount devices securely and ensure clean wiring and cable management.

o Connectivity Setup

- Connect devices to power and network, including Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

- Perform basic IP configuration and confirm online status.

o Testing & Verification

- Conduct onsite checks using multimeters and handheld tools.

- Perform basic data validation and confirm device functionality.

o Field Maintenance

- Respond to field incidents and perform replacements or reconfiguration.

- Support inventory tracking and onsite troubleshooting.

o Reporting

- Complete installation checklists and document work with photos and notes.

- Provide regular updates to the deployment team.

Requirements

NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related technical field. 1-3 years of experience in field installation or electrical work. Familiar with use of basic tools such as drills, cable testers, multimeters. Basic understanding of network setup (IP, routers, gateways). Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or in technical areas.

Good to Have

Experience working with IoT or smart building technologies. Familiarity with safety standards and site protocols. Class 3 license or ability to travel to various sites.

Soft Skills

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Able to work independently and take initiative. Good communication and documentation habits.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,100.00 per month
