JOB SUMMARY

• Supervise the outsourced processing of payments to vendors and staff claims.
• Responsible for month-end closing activities (e.g. posting of journal entries, performing variance analysis for BSPL and review of Head Office reports etc.)
• Assist in the monitoring and resolution of data quality related issues that impact financial reporting.
• Perform balance sheet substantiation and prepare balance sheet schedules monthly.
• Contribute to the ‘first line of defence’ model by assisting in the monitoring of the identified key risks within Finance and performing control self-assessment in Archer.
• Assist in annual budgeting to Head Office and local management and regional cost recharging activity.

• Supervise the outsourced processing of payments to vendors and staff claims to ensure that the payments are made timely and accurately, and ensure accurate booking of costs.
• Monitoring of revenue and costs to ensure that they are within budget and any material variances are explained.
• Responsible for month-end closing activities to facilitate MAS and Head Office reporting, including but not limited to the posting of journal entries, review of nostro/ suspense break reconciliations, and performing monthly variance analysis of BSPL including cost.
• Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation including the monitoring of accruals and prepayments, supported by adequate balance sheet schedules.
• Monitor the intercompany breaks and ensure that breaks are resolved timely.
• Prepare quarterly GST submissions and attend to any regulator queries relating to GST submissions.
• Assist in the preparation of Management Information reporting pack business including commentaries, cost analysis covering trends, variance, forecast and budget.
• Monitor and resolve data quality issues that impact financial reporting e.g. KRI monitoring and DQ checks.
• Assist in the monitoring of the identified key risks within Finance and performing control self-assessments in Archer.
• Support annual budgeting and regional cost recharging exercises.
• Participate in relevant initiatives and projects.
