Position Summary

Our client is a leading restaurant chain, looking to hire a Finance Director. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all the finance functions and liaising with Department Heads, key vendors, external audit firms and be aware of the ever-changing industry standards and best practices. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the finance functions (GL, AP, AR and Cost Control) to ensure smooth operations and processes across all functions.
  • Oversee the financial closing process and audit for Singapore entities and business as well as the franchise business.
  • Responsible to generate accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including analysis of key performance indicators.
  • Support in preparation, review and monitoring of weekly/monthly cashflow forecasts and cashflow position to ensure optimal funds available for operations.
  • Responsible to review financial results and highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Liaise with respective HODs and address issues relating to financial matters.
  • Overall responsible for the annual audit, managing the whole audit process and relationship with external auditors, group\'s audit committee and governmental bodies, as necessary.
  • Responsible to coach and guide the finance team and ensure their growth and development.
  • Responsible in the budgeting and forecasting process for the group.
  • Perform financial analysis to aid business decision making and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Responsible in supporting business strategies by participating in ad-hoc projects / initiatives and cost saving initiatives and provide recommendation to improve efficiencies.
  • Oversee the capital appraisal and approval and manage projects and investment applications through feasibility studies, approval matrix and post investment reviews
  • Assist in developing presentations including performance, forecasts, budget and projects, as well as external presentations, if necessary
  • Support in pro-forma calculations for business development
  • Serve as a Business partner to management team by providing commercial decisions support across key management initiatives, business transformations and process improvements.
  • Develop, implement and drive compliance with internal controls as well as financial and accounting policies and procedures across all functions in Singapore
  • Responsible to implement and maintain the financial controls such cash management, credit control, cost control petty cash and more within the business.
  • Responsible to maintain and update all Authority Limits and Bank Mandate
  • Facilitate and liaise with lawyers and consultants to oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues
  • Prepare and review tax computation and deal with all government tax and accounting affairs
  • Liaise with banks on lines of credit or other financial services as required and appropriate.
Requirements
  • A degree holder in Finance and Accounting or any relevant equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience with about 5-8 years of experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Possess professional qualification such as (Chartered Accountant).
  • Strong knowledge of FRS & IFRS Reporting requirements as well on tax laws, computation and reporting requirement.
  • Experience in managing multiple entities.
  • Knowledge on ERP, design & delivery of process improvements involving IT and experience in F&B industry would be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools.
