As the Finance Director, you will lead financial operations related to IT projects, cost modeling, and long-term budgeting. You will oversee project finance consolidation, develop and manage both annual and multi-year budget plans, and deliver clear financial presentations to the board and C-suite executives. This role requires strong technical competency, process improvement experience, and strategic leadership in managing the financial aspects of IT initiatives.Responsibilities:
Lead the annual and long-term IT budgeting plan, roadmap and forecasting processes
Consolidate and manage the financials from various business units and multiple IT projects, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of project expenditures.
Work closely with IT leadership and other departments to provide finance advise, align financial strategies with organizational goals.
Ensure financial alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
Monitor budget execution, providing regular updates and variance analysis to stakeholders.
Implement best practices in financial governance, controls, and reporting specific to IT finance.
Develop comprehensive cost models to support IT projects, including capital expenditure, operational costs, and potential savings from technology investments.
Provide cost forecasts and scenario analysis to support decision-making on IT initiatives
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Oversee implementation and optimization of financial systems (e.g. ERP systems) to improve financial reporting, analysis, and control.
Drive process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
Prepare and deliver monthly financial presentations on IT spending, project performance, and budget forecasts to the board of directors and C-level executives.
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to support key decision-making.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in finance, with a focus on IT finance or project finance.
Experience handling large scale government or regional IT finance and budgeting plans is highly preferred.
Strong expertise in financial consolidation, cost modelling, and long-term budgeting.
Proven ability to communicate financial information to senior leadership and boards.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to drive process improvements and efficiencies.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with experience managing IT finance-related data.
Excellent problem-solving and written/communication skills
Detail-oriented and an effective team player, with a proven ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments
