Astoria Solutions is a leader and disruptive innovator that transforms safety, accountability, and productivity for our clients in the Marine, Oil & Gas, and Construction Industries with our cloud-based infocomm technology solutions.There is now an exciting opportunity for a motivated and positive individual to join our Finance team as a Finance Executive. This is a role with plenty of learning and growth opportunities in a supportive and collaborative environment.The Finance Executive will be reporting to the Accountant, you will provide relevant support in a team environment to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day finance and office operations. You will be working alongside with colleagues in Singapore as well as overseas offices and be exposed to diverse cultures.:

  • Handle AR, and AP, including monitor of receivables, resolve discrepancies and payment/collectability issues
  • Assisting in inventory control, fixed assets tracking, cash management, and intercompany billing
  • Verify and process all vendor payments and staff claims and ensure they are disbursed timely
  • Ensure month end closing financial statements and reports are prepared accurately and timely.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards/principles and be familiar with financial concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Prepare various management reports to facilitate management in decision making
  • Participate in finance projects and process improvement initiatives, thereby ensuring effective and efficient working methods, alongside with sound and adequate internal controls are in place
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence of company's policies and procedures
  • Prepare quarterly GST returns
  • Assist to coordinate with auditor, corporate secretary, banks, government authorities, and ensure conformance to all statutory requirements
  • Liaise with overseas subsidiaries where necessary to complete assigned tasks
  • Assist in financial tasks, office admin tasks, projects and perform other duties when assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Commerce or Accountancy/ Diploma in Accounting/ Other Accounting qualifications, completed or pursuing ACCA/CPA/CA
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, prior experience in full set accounting and office administration will be an advantage
  • Meticulous, responsible, and independent
  • Have positive work attitude, proactive and eager to learn
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proficient in written and verbal English
  • Familiarity with Xero Accounting System and Office admin will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
