Job Description

Role DescriptionThe Finance Manager will develop, lead and manage the corporate reporting and technical accounting function for the Group as well as the monthly closing for certain subsidiaries. You will lead all aspects of the company's external reporting and be the company's primary internal resource on technical accounting topics.Primary Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the Company's external financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, as well as the preparation of supporting schedules and related analysis, to ensure the accurate compilation and reporting of financial data in accordance with applicable accounting standard (IFRS,US GAAP) Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies to support the financial reporting process, including developing and maintaining the Company's external reporting calendar Independently research technical accounting issues posed by the Company's business and document the Company's accounting positions via preparation of technical accounting memos Manage the monthly closing for certain subsidiaries Monitor proposed and enacted accounting pronouncements that affect the Company and make recommendations on implementing changes Oversee auditing activities and assist with gathering the information and documentation necessary for quarterly reviews, annual audits, and other regulatory filings Assist with the implementation of accounting and other systems for better financial and operational reporting and an improved control environment Assist in managing internal controls and compliance programs and support SOX compliance efforts Assist in preparation of materials for Board, Audit Committee and senior managementQualifications: Ideal candidates for this role will have a proven track record of success in working in a fastpaced, dynamic environment, effectively leading remote teams, strong financial acumen, achange leader, self-motivation to drive issue resolution, and the proven ability to implement standardization and process improvements. Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. CPA required Total experience of 8-10 years with a minimum of 4 years of public accounting experience Strong technical accounting background with a knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, SOX 404 and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research Excellent communication skills - written and verbal Experience in auditing or implementing SEC filing processes, including implementing processes to efficiently audit or gather appropriate supporting documentation will be viewed positively Ability to work independently, complete work timely, and work well as a team member Strong attention to detail with an ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience implementing Workiva/W-Desk or ActiveDisclosure (or a similar reporting/XBRL tagging software) highly desirable
