Job Description

Mission: This role reports into the Finance Director for Asia Pacific. This position is a business partner to the Commercial and Marketing functions, exclusive to a business unit that covers markets in Asia, in provision of in-depth sales and profitability analysis and support to the short and long-term objectives of the division. The role will also act as regional analyst to support/consolidate the analytical works for the whole Asia Pacific region.
Functions and Responsibilities:
Budgeting

• Lead the preparation of Annual Budgets, Rolling Forecast and Estimates for the business of Asia distributors.
• Preparation and presentation to senior management of budget figures with focus on business performance and risks and opportunities.

• Provide weekly sales forecast and reporting
• Provide monthly net revenues reporting
• Provide monthly business review pack including sales analysis, gross margin analysis, A&P spending analysis and fixed costs analysis
• Provide monthly sell-in reports
• Assist Area Managers with business presentations updates for Regional, Country and Client business reviews

• Codification of invoices for processing, seek and receive approvals from Commercial/Marketing
• Follow up on payment queries from suppliers/vendors (local point of contact)
• Update managers on YTD travel budgets
• Manage and liaise with HQ on intercompany recharges

• Review Asia distributors entity P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Provide monthly provisions for Asia distributors entity.

• Assist Finance Director in reviewing and establishing Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance to the Group policies.
• Support audit process (Internal and External)
• Lead the annual audit and taxation filing process for Singapore entity
• Ensure proper accounting of GST entries and generate GST report

• Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a similar position. Preferred background from Consumer Goods, Luxury Goods, Travel Retail or FMCG.
• Education: Degree preferably in Business Administration or Economics.
• Languages: English and Mandarin.
• Skills and Knowledge:

• Sound working knowledge of management accounting and financial accounting principles/policies
• Strong analytical skills with ability to build business models
• Good working knowledge of:
  • SAP
  • Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word knowledge is a must
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with people across levels
