The incumbent will be responsible for leading all finance functions and activities in the Singapore office to enhance functional performance towards excellence. This role will be a key member of the local management team and a strategic partner to the business heads. He/she is expected to work closely with the leadership team to identify risks and opportunities, develop and implement long and short-term strategies and action plans in order to achieve the company\xe2\x80\x99s business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of accounting records to meet all internal and external reporting requirements in compliance with local and US GAAP.
• Fulfill all tax filing, internal and external audit requirements; ensure and determine proper actions taken in response to tax queries, audit findings and recommendations.
• Preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecast.
• Drive improvements in quality of financial and business analyses in order to guide all leaders in decision making and performance monitoring; and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to achieve financial and strategic business objectives.
• Drive improvements in budgeting and forecasting process with a focus on forecast accuracy and predictability.
• Drive improvements in business processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Proactively identify and mitigate business and financial risks associated with Donaldson business/operations.
• Provide financial advice and perspective to assist the development and implementation of long-term business plans, strategies and tactics; and the subsequent assessment of the effectiveness and achievements against targets and objectives.
• Review capital expenditure requests to ensure business and financial justifications are sound as well as compliance to the relevant policies.

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree of Commerce / Accounting
• CA qualification or equivalent
• At least 7 years of experience, minimum 4 years in management position

Technical Competence & Skills:

• Knowledge of US and local GAAP, local tax and statutory regulations
• Strong analytical capability and problem-solving skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Experience in ERP system (Oracle will be a distinct advantage)

Leadership Competence:

• Proven ability to develop people and organization to achieve functional excellence, both directly and through a matrix management structure.
• Highly organized with an excellent ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and tight deadlines with minimum supervision.

Relevant Experience:

• Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
• Comfort around senior management
• Independence and decisiveness
• High integrity and credibility

Others (% of travel, language, etc.):

• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong business acumen
